I believe it can be used with a 22cm head darbuka, but I got a size 8 instead of the right size. 75" in length. Bigger than I expected!

This one is 8 5/8" OD, I thought it was too big. Though it is really too small, I was able to hammer it into place and bolt it to the top ring. There are no problems with it, it sounds great. There should be heads that are either 8 21/32" or 8 22/32" tall, which look like they'd fit my doumbek just fine. It is still only a few days after I installed it, so I can't comment on longevity, but aside from the fact that I had to practically force it into place, it is fine. I'd give it 5 stars if it were not for that. In terms of quality and sound, everything appears to be okay. In addition, the head's "crown" is a little short for my doumbek, so the top rim of the head doesn't screw into place completely, so a bit of rim remains However, it does not seem to pose any problems when playing it. It fit the original Alexandria head perfectly, so I was expecting the Remo head to fit in a similar way. Not at all.
As much as I prefer natural goatskins, I wanted to have at least one drum with a quality synthetic so that I could maintain tuning as the humidity changed.
