The Meinl copper drum kit produces high-quality "doum" lows with 'teks' in the high range for any style of Middle Eastern music or pop. It is perfect for drum circles, classroom music or for just enjoying music.

The copper shell measures 17 1/8" in width, hand engraved - made from a cast mold, the copper shell has a distinct tone that makes it stand out from other instruments - It has been hand engraved with a unique ornamental finish.

Turkey, where the doumbeks were created and are still in heavy use today (the Middle East, North Africa, Eastern Europe and South Asia), Meinl's doumbeks are produced by skilled artisanal experts in Turkey offering superb craftsmanship, quality and consistency.

An all-weather synthetic head is installed on this drum. The 8-inch head is tunable and extremely durable. With the 5" synthetic head, the tune is easily adjusted and resonant freely in any weather condition, even when it's raining. (8 lugs)"

The bolts on this product are eight. This is a very good doumbek for the price you pay.

Is it very strong if I sit on it lying on the ground, or would it bend when I sit on it? There's like a 180-degree difference between me and you How much weight do you weigh?

These are very strong, but I wouldn't sit on them because they are musical instruments.

The shell is beautiful, the teks are in tune, and the doums are deep and broad. A lot of compliments!.

It is welded shut on the drum case zipper, which is of poor quality and bad customer service

It is impossible to get into the case to access the drum. I was very disappointed with the drum head that was thrown into the bottom of the shipping box- a bent and bent drum head that looked very poor. It was a very bad experience.

I like the drummer's style, and it makes a good sound, GEF is not as good as this. One thing that could be improved is the cheap plastic head, but this is a typical darbuka feature.

The quality of this is amazing. I get a lot of compliments on how good this is. As a result of a slight rattle sound, I had to tighten the head but it worked fine.

The work is beautiful and the sound is wonderful. A soft, light carrying case is included with the extra head. Currently I am trying to produce the correct sounds and rhythms, so I cannot be sure of the quality of the program, but based on the video I watched showing the same model being used by a great player, I am confident of its suitability for me.
