There is a lot of quality in these mallets. As a result, they are more heavy than I would have liked and make more intense attacks on the cymbals than I would have liked. While playing new music, I was switching between timpani and cymbal rolls, with good results from the mallets on the timpani but not on the cymbals, which were too hard when I needed In addition to music, I will use them for other purposes.

It's hard to find timpani mallets for a good price, but I think these are worth it for their price. They seem well-made and have stayed in shape for a long time. I have only one complaint, and that is that the packaging and the pair of glasses I got are heavily scented with tobacco smoke. I plan to let them air out a bit and see if that makes any difference. Besides being incredibly heavy, you may need to take note of the fact that these mallets are also very In terms of shaft thickness and density, the mallet is almost as thick and as dense as a pair of SD1s, and its head is extremely heavy. I've used other mallets that are a lot lighter, but this one feels much heavier- I don't wish to nitpick about it, but it isn't troubling for me.
