This deck is designed to blend meat and potatoes
5/5

"DJing" has been a hobby of mine for the past five A Pioneer CDJ-100 has been used by me We made 900 series, Vinyl Technics, Denons, Numarks, Stantons, etc. During my time of saving for two Pioneer CDJ-1000s, I bought these to see if they would suffice until I could invest in them In the 850s. would really like a similar layout and feel to my Pioneer unit, given that I have owned one in the past and I don't want to play with anything that is laid out as a children's As reviews for these were not entirely descriptive, I felt like I was taking a bit of a risk, so I purchased only ONE at first. The product is beyond my expectations and at this price, I was very impressed. Despite being not as precise as Pioneers, the Play and Cue buttons have a clicky, quick tap to them. Both the jog wheel and pitch fader are very nice, rubbery plastic on the jog wheel and rotating similar to the CDJ800. I have not encountered any problems with the jog search. With the fader for the pitch, everything is nice and tight and smooth. Furthermore, I got these because I liked the USB option, which reads a 500gb hard drive quicker than a Pioneer CDJ400 I had used in the past. I was actually pleasantly surprised by how quickly I could navigate these. As long as you've tagged your MP3s correctly, it will read your BPM numbers as well, so you don't have to "tap" for a quick glance of what's playing. You can also use the loop function, just tap in and out, the loop does 'smooth' a tiny bit if your rhythm is The overall quality of everything is pretty good. In terms of downfalls, the only real difficulties are There is only an accuracy of to the pitch. 1% of the market, and it appears to be staying there. One percent. In other words, the player will not go in between. 1 % of the total, This is true even if the fader is moved and the percentage remains unchanged. If you imagine the steps in a staircase, you are on one side or the other, not Actually, you can pitch bend very accurate with the jog wheel, when you keep that in mind. Therefore, you are still allowed to do a 2 With these it is impossible to "stick it" and let it ride as much as you might like - not if you're mixing into someone's vinyl set or the equivalent at least. You will need to customize a lot of your cue points to get a perfect start with the table since it does not "auto cue" like Pioneer or other tables. The jog wheel makes it pretty easy to do so, so it's just a little inconvenience. In the event that you are buying this table to scratch, you will waste your time, as it is NOT a scratch table. The device probably has a 5sec buffer, which can perform backspins and scratch for a while, but it will not allow the touchscreen to stop responding after a certain point Put some "Bert" style on it. It happens because the player always "resets" every time the table is turned off, so you must select your pitch, activate the jog function, and view the BPM display all over again when the table is turned back on, since the previous settings don't appear. As I have gotten used to having high end gear, the downfalls are mostly just features I am not used to. I have tried several tables, such as Pioneers, to mimic the look of a pro table – and THIS is probably the CLOSEST cheap table I have used to mimic that look. Compared to other mixers, everything is pretty similar in layout, everything has the same feel, and there isn't much crap included you won't use once you get a taste for Basically all you will need for spinning Tech House, Dnb, etc is to be able to "blend", so, this is all you need. Or if for whatever reason you're unable to spend more than $1000 on your rig at the moment. As far as the feel is concerned, it's exactly what you need that ensures you can remain comfortable once it's time for you.

There are many CDJs available
5/5

Those of you who are looking to buy a budget CD player will find the Gemini CDJ600 is my choice. After using the Stanton C324s prior to buying this, I can tell you the Gemini CDJ600 is superior. There is support for external hard drives in the USB function. This is the case at least with solid state, the technology With the CDJ600, I can play any cd I put in it, unlike the C324. I use 4 and 8 gig thumb drives, as well as a 350 gig solid state external drive. A $30 cd player doesn't have a great jog wheel, but it's still pretty good for a $220 I think that this wheel would not hold up well to much scratching, but for me it is fine. In my beat, I combine progressive house, trance, and drum & bass This allows me to avoid scratching the bass. Keeping up with the beat is as easy as tapping a finger. By tapping in the beat yourself, you make the beat. A little bit of getting used to this takes some time, but it is fine. I will be able to do just fine until I can gather up the cash for CDJ900s (which cost as much as my truck). I would like to introduce DJ.

A horrible, terrible product
3/5

The Gemini CDJ 600 is possibly the absolute most terrible DJ product ever made. The two of these I purchased many years ago were to save me money with regard to buying some That was the worst decision I have ever made. As I was transferring some of my vinyl collection to digital, I wasn't able to incorporate them into my setting at that time, so I started using them about three months after purchasing them. Upon receiving the unit, I found it had a malfunctioning BPM chooser inside that I had to set it to a negative value right away 8/16/24 percent of the time, when playing a song, they would randomly switch from one choice to another, thus preventing any type of mixing. The Gemini customer service rep told me I would have to pay 100% of the cost of replacing my computer as it had been out of warranty by that point. Oh, and I apologize for getting a good deal on it and not using it right away, I explained (they did not My first step was to buy the Pioneer decks I wanted to begin with, and I have never looked back. One of my Pioneer decks ran out of juice, so I attempted to use the only remaining Gemini CDJ 600 which I thought was still in good shape. What do you think? Likewise, we have a problem with There is no indicator for the BPM pitch on the pitch adjust and, even when it is switched on, you can't even tell what the percentage is. I'll have it zeroed out and the BPM adjuster will read anywhere from 0 to 1. By six to one. It is an adjustment of 6%. You can also try to use the BPM counter, but it will just display random BPMs. Put it out of your mind. I advise you not to purchase this product!.

It is of excellent quality
5/5

This CD turntable is right for you if you're used to using computers and equipment. The process of learning how to use it is extremely simple if you The concept was difficult to understand for one of my other teachers. aren't familiar with such equipment, you may have to spend some time reading and practicing. Nevertheless, this is a wonderful tool to have in your arsenal! . . . the pitch control on this machine is fantastic! I teach dance classes as well as perform with it. Another great benefit is the possibility of using a jump drive for all your music as well as a Nevertheless, the price was cheaper on the other website however, they didn't have the product in stock? A leader has been lost? So as you know, The prices from Com were as good as always.
