Questions & Answers

Is the Audio Technica L120 USB going to fit in this case?

While I haven't personally attempted to fit an AT L120 turntable into this case the AT L120 turntable specs are pretty close to the legendary Technics 1200 which I am 100% certain fits in this case as d The AT L120, I'm sure, would fit perfectly in this case as well. br>Another piece of information - If you need a more rugged Odyssey case, I recommend the "black" series, as the case's construction is twice as good in my opinion. Cheers.

If the foam block on the lid is modified, will this case fit a Technics 1200 with a dust cover?

It may be possible if the lid is modified. However, it defeats the purpose of transporting the turntable in a snug, secure cushion.

Hello, is this for a Mackie 12 mixer?

No ! , This is ideal for the Universal Turntable. br>However, if you want to mix it, you'll need to get it with the measurement. I strongly advise you to purchase this item.

What do you think of the pioneer plx? Is it the correct size?

That's correct. I have both a pioneer LLC 1000 and a rane12, and they are both perfect.

They appear to be pleasant individuals
4/5

I was hesitant to purchase the FR1200E cases for my PLX-200. Due to a scarcity of real-life photos, 1000 turntables were made. Negative feedback on the longevity of the product. What's the difference between these and the $109-per-month plan? The difference between the $120 FZ1200 cases and the Flight Ready series is that the Flight Ready series uses 1/4" plywood instead of the Flight Zone series' 3/8". They're also 4 pounds lighter (17 lbs vs. 21 lbs) than their FZ counterparts. The weight difference appears to be minor on paper, but when you consider that PLX- Because the 1000s is one of the heaviest turntables on the market, every pound counts. br>br>The only flaw I discovered is that the 1/4" plywood is noticeably thin. I haven't had a chance to play with them yet (they arrived today), but just carrying them around the house has convinced me that they aren't as tough as the 3/8" Flight Zones. I borrowed 3/8" Roady Ready's from a friend before purchasing these. I wouldn't hesitate to stack the RR cases or to travel with them in a more aggressive manner. I had to stand on one once (with nothing inside, of course), and it showed no signs of weakness. Because these are so thin, I believe they will require extra caution when loading/unloading, stacking, and so on, and I don't expect them to last as long as the FZs / RRs. So I give them a 3 in terms of sturdiness and overall construction. 5/5. br>br>In terms of overall fit, the FR1200E is a good match for the PLX- 1000 fits perfectly in the palm of your hand. The foam casing around the bottom is snug, and the platter foam on the upper half eliminates any potential travel play. According to some reviews, the platter foam puts too much pressure on the turntable, but this is not the case with my PLX-100. It's the perfect number of 1000s. So I give it a five-star rating for fit. br>br>I suppose it comes down to what you need in a case at the end of the day. As someone who suffers from back pain, I found that the lighter weight and lower price point seemed to be more worthwhile than having something heavier and more expensive. As I previously stated, you'll need to handle these with a higher level of caution than you would with the Flight Zones, but if that doesn't bother you, these appear to be fine.

The dimensions can be found below
5/5

This review includes interior dimensions. This is a fantastic turntable storage solution. With the velcro blocks removed, I can fit the Stanton T92 USB turntable into this case snugly. The depth of this case is 3 inches on the inside, 17 inches on the left and right with the handle in front of you, and 13 inches on the front and back. I couldn't find any measurements in other reviews, but luckily, another reviewer mentioned that their turntable was the same as mine. You'll have about one inch less from front to back if you put the velcro blocks in the case at the back, as they are when you first open this case. I've also discovered that removing the back plate and feeding the power and audio cables through the small hole allows me to replace the plate and screw it down with only the tiniest bulge where the cords are. When the turntable isn't being used, I can close the case over it. The top part of this case has two foam blocks that do not move right where the platter is. They point down and press against the platter to keep it in place. Depending on your turntable, you might need to cut these pieces a little. An extra headshell can be placed in a slot on my turntable. This is not hampered by the foam pads in the least. Overall, this was a fantastic purchase.

There are no recessed hinges on this door
3/5

I like the product, but the lid hinges aren't recessed, so if you store it vertically, the case won't sit flush with the floor. I would not have ordered it if there was a picture of the backside. The weight on it, in my opinion, will damage the hinges to the point where it will no longer function properly. I was planning on returning it, but the restocking fee was $30. I'll put up with it as long as I remember to lay them down horizontally every time. br>br>They're definitely lighter than my other road cases.

For the price, it is excellent
5/5

The cases are very appealing to me. The only difference between these and the other cases I've seen is that these have hinges rather than four latches. The hinges may get in the way of a mixer case, but it makes no difference in terms of how they protect the turntables. I'm not sure if another $50 is worthwhile to me. I'm not sure I want to keep them in the bottoms of the cases all of the time. If I was going to fly with them or wasn't the guy who handled them all the time, I'd probably get the more expensive ones because I think they'd be a little more durable.

The handle on the front lid has a crooked shape
3/5

I've had these cases FR1200E for over 2 years and have only traveled with them five times. My only complaint is that the front part with the handle flexes/bends not as straight as it should be, so when you put the top back on you have to push the front part of the top lid and front part of the bottom with the handle to get it to lock back. br> I'm going with FZ1200 and maybe spend the extra $50 to have that front part made out of stronger.

Overall, it was a good product for the job
4/5

So here's the deal: I'm not a DJ, and I don't need to carry my turntable around all the time, so I can't say whether it's sturdy enough for long trips. br>br>I bought this for moving and traveling in the RV, and it's perfect for that; it fits the Audio Technica LP120 perfectly, and for those of you who're curious, it also fits the turntable lid. It locks up tight and is easy to transport; I've taken it over to a neighbor's house a few times to listen to some blues, for example. br>br>I will admit that it does not sit completely flush on a flat surface, but this can be remedied with some ingenuity. It's perfect for my needs; I can take it with me to the RV and plug it in whenever I want to listen to music. When I'm finished or on the road, I'll put it back in the box so it's out of the way. br>br>The only disadvantage is that the cables are difficult to reach. Although there is a hole in the back where the cables should exit, it is covered by a screwed-in metal logo. I intend to remove it and replace it with a plug or something similar from a hardware store to address the issue.
