Selected User Reviews For Decksaver Protective Cover for Technics SL-1200/1210 and Pioneer PLX-1000

Although it isn't ideal, it is the best alternative
3/5

Mine had a 2 on it, which was quite noticeable. On the top, there is a 3-inch scratch. I'm returning for a new one, possibly a boxcutter or knife. Advantages: br>br> It was a perfect fit for my Technics 1200 M3D. When I pressed on it, it felt strong as well. The real Technics 1200 covers are around $200, so $70 is a bit much for this. br>br>Contrary to popular belief, there are a number of disadvantages to using this product. With it on, you won't be able to play records. The indent in the center of the piece is too low for the tone arm to reach! You must remove the record with two hands, place it somewhere (there are no hinges to hold the record in place), and then replace it. The authentic covers, however, have flaws. br>br> It's no surprise that they're not kept by DJs. For starters, they do not open to a 90-degree angle. As a result, it's difficult to change records, and the hinges are prone to damage as a result. Until I realized this, I was dead set on getting one. In comparison, the decksaver appears to be a much better choice.

Protective Decksaver Cover for Technics SL- 1200/1210, as well as the Pioneer PLX- 1000 Having a professional appearancebr>- sturdiness rather than flimsinessbr>- It's a perfect fit for my SL-XXXXXXX 1210 MK2 fits perfectlybr>br>I've never wanted or been able to put a cover over a playing record, so I can't comment on that
5/5

br>According to the other reviews I've read, you might not want to give it a shot because the design may interfere with the tonearm. br>This may cause your stylus and/or vinyl to be damaged. br>br>I can't believe I waited so long for this. For the owner of a 1200, this is a must-have.

WARNING: Do not attempt to play records while wearing this! This works well as a dust cover and fits my 1200s perfectly
3/5

However, due to the dip in the middle of this cover, playing records with it on is dangerous. The lifting arm of your stylus (I use Orto nightclubs) may brush up against the lid while playing, damaging your record! This cover would be perfect if it weren't for this design flaw! I contacted the seller about it, but they have not returned my call weeks later. It's a bit of a bummer that this is the only model under $100 on the market. br>br>If you do decide to buy it, please make the necessary changes to your deck. To allow your tone arm to reach the center of the turntable, build raised and cushioned guide platforms on the corners. Another option is to glue layers of rubberized material to the corners of the cover to give it that raised look. In any case, be careful and have a great day.

This is a fantastic cover
5/5

So my new Technics 1200M3D didn't come with a cover, despite the fact that it was in excellent condition. The Deck Saver cover I purchased on Amazon has exceeded my expectations. It was delivered tonight. It wasn't cheap, but it was a lot less expensive than buying a new one. It's a perfect fit and keeps the gear safe from dust and damage. Without a doubt, I am extremely pleased with this product; thank you for providing such a high-quality item that also arrived a day ahead of schedule!.

Technics 1200 is well protected
4/5

This is, as far as I know, the only product on the market for covering Technics 1200's without paying an arm and a leg for an original cover, unless you want to go super custom. The material is durable, allowing me to play records with the cover on while avoiding contact with the headshell or cartridge on the middle channel. I'm not sure why this channel exists. The only thing I don't like about it is having to lift the cover on and off every time I need to use it; hinges would be ideal. It is necessary to exercise caution in order to avoid causing any damage to the delicate components. It isn't perfect, but it is preferable to a soiled table and records!.

Upgrade to the Original Dust Cover- On 1200s, it's a perfect fit
5/5

This is the perfect match for my Techniques 1200 MK2s. I was blown away, especially after reading some erroneous fit reviews. br>br>I read somewhere that the central indentation's design was questioned as if it served no purpose. A valley runs through the middle of it. This serves the obvious purpose of making the dust cover more durable. It has the appearance of a polycarbonate I-beam. down the middle of the beam It's a structural element of the design that's required to keep the cover in place. br>br>Compared to the originals, the cover is much better. br>br>With the hinged covers, scratching is impossible unless you go disco. Is that something you're interested in? No, I do not believe that is true.

The fit is perfect
5/5

I purchased a second-hand Technics SL- Without the cover, 1200 Mk2 After determining that all of the OEM covers were prohibitively expensive, I came across this cover, which fits the turntable perfectly. It does not have hinges and does not resemble the original Technics cover. However, it is well-made and appears to be in good condition.

It performs admirably
5/5

This is the dust cover that fits my old Technics SL-100 the best. 1700 The only problem is that the "lowered center-of-gravity" The tone-deafening section" prevents the tone-deafening section allowing the arm to move freely across the vinyl To use the turntable, I must first remove the dust cover. Nonetheless, I am extremely pleased with it.
