The product was OK, but it seemed to be lacking in some areas

Despite its reasonable price, we found that the Yamaha QY100 had twice as many rhythms as the QY700.

Obsolete but versatile

These things are outdated now, but the interface and tactile quality of actual dedicated buttons might appeal to you. A relatively easy sequencer to use, it had a lot of sounds for its time and it was a relatively inexpensive sequencer. I also had a Yamaha RM1x during the same time period, which is not the same device. RM1x is more fun to work with, if you know exactly what you want. QY700 is best if you know exactly what you want.
