Questions & Answers

The speakers seem to do plain low full bass, so I'd be interested in purchasing if I could confirm this. Are there any extreme bass settings that it can do?

I have difficulty answering that question for the simple reason that it is impossible for me to understand how you actually want "plain full bass" to be translated into sound. In other words, you can do anything you want with this little thing... The low part of the bass is included in the plain. The price on this synth is ridiculously cheap for how impressive it is, get it, turn down the knob in the mixer section except the sine wave, drop it down a notch - and enjoy! Listen to the two octaves, and then the plain full bass will make your bowels shake. As well as the presets you described, there are some that fit your description.

I'm here. The description is not exactly clear to me - Do I only have the option of playing single notes or chord sounds on it? Thanks so much?

Hi, this is a monophonic synth, which means only one note can be played

What are the differences between this and Roland JD-types of speakers ?

What I like more is the contrast between the two. In an ideal world, there would be no I would describe the xi as a miniature keyboard with a microphone. Novation Bass Station 2 is designed more like Moog synthesizers with fat keys and smooth sounds. On this 2nd version, there is an extra 303 instrument that you're supposed to play live instead of programming. These are two very different creatures.

Selected User Reviews For Novation Bass Station II Analog Mono-Synth

I am in a good mood
5/5

I'm experiencing a complete paradigm shift as a result of this synth. My first "real" synth was created with this. My experience using software / VST synthesizers for a long time now really blows me away how much better the sounds are now. With each new track, I strive to make my own unique sounds, normally my bass tone is spent hours trying to find and tweaking. The very first thing that went through my head upon hearing the first few patches was "Oh, this is going to be really easy!". There are a lot of people who won't admit that this is an analog synthesizer because it's clearly stated on the front (I just laughed at my joke) but it's an analog synthesizer nevertheless. When I did this, I had the impression that I would actually prefer the digitally controlled oscillators, but as I researched I found that I should start with reading about oscillators, then reading about NCOs and DCOs (numerically and digitally controlled oscillators). A few other cool things were there too, like the blue USB cord that came with the BS2, and the underside of the device is completely blue, which actually comes in handy if you have ten thousand cables hooked up is even equipped with a full-size 8. 5x11-inch) manual with a colored cover. When I bought the gear, it felt as if I was shopping for music gear from the 1980s. Regardless of what you want to do, all of the knobs are perfectly comfortable with good drag to them, and the switches do not stick when you want to move them (if you understand me). Under the pots, you can see the threaded nuts. Unlike Pitch and Modulation wheels, Pitch wheels have a rubberized surface and have good functionality. I will probably buy the carrying bag that I don't need for this synth if I love it so much.

I'm not a total fan, and there are some things I'd change if I had my way. It's pretty cheap to get the keys, It provides much better action (they are also synthweighted) than the Audio Axiom controllers. In addition to that, the case is at the same level height as the keys, which means that if you have long fingernails and you play the keys with them (I used my Push2 to play it), you're bound to break them on them. was a desktop version of this, I would grab it in a heartbeat. This game came out a few years ago, I'm late to the game, but I read and shopped a lot, and during my research I found that many reviews were written before a It was awesome to have some support from Novation on this update. Here is some information Please note *br/*br/*- I have added support for patch names (version 2) to my patch format - A small improvement in output jitter as well as pots/faders being jittery and phantom data appearing - The timeline can now be locked on and tempo detected more efficiently* - A bug with MIDI DIN SysEx output has been fixed. There are now two arrows next to Arp Rhythm, Arp Pattern, and Arp Octaves/Seq showing "value changing" -- The text for the RP Pattern modes is now added
A new mode has been added It is '> A MIDI ("Out") or MIDI-compatible device is required. It is '> ("In") by using function and arc latch buttons-- There are some good devices in the Max for Live Library that can control and automate your BS2.

One last thing if you have Ableton/Max for Live, be sure to check out the Max for Live Library. Please note *br*.

This is an amazing mono synth starter
5/5

As it's something I've been interested in for some time, I did a bunch of research on synthesizers. Everyone I spoke to said I should check these out. The decision to give it a shot has turned out to be a good one. If possible, please In synths, you might want to look at Mono, Poly, FM, Hybrid, Analog and Digital (there must be more but those are a good This is not a good option for those of you who want to do a lot of pad sounds or poly synth sounds. When you want to play synth lines that are in a lot of songs, you need to think about a poly synth. If you're looking for Mono, you can't go wrong with this one. The sound that comes out of this thing is thick and capable of so many different sounds. There is a lot of power in this machine. There are so many features included with it as well. There is so much to learn about this thing that you will have thousands of hours playing with it. Despite the fact that this piece of equipment is now outdated, Novation still stands behind their products and gives them regular updates, so even though it is now an older piece of equipment, it is still very current.

Octation Bass Station II is the best bass station I've ever owned
5/5

It has been more than a year since I purchased it. I am writing this review now The Bass Station II is amazing! I'm in love with it! The moment I turn it on and listen to its sound, I am taken away from the everyday stresses of life.

Listen up! This is a monotone analog synthesizer, as I understand. However, there is so much It is such a beautiful I love the crispness and the vivid color. Using this instrument was the first time I had ever used a synthesizer. As a result of attending DeadMau5's Master Class on EDM, I purchased this beautiful instrument immediately after learning about analog versus digital synths. The greatness of this instrument is due to,

why? I like how easy it is to use! There is no denying that the cutoff filter is one of the most useful controls on any synth The piece is well constructed and built. You can express yourself beautifully with the analog sound effects due to the responsiveness of the touch screen. My synth always gets people talking about it when I bring it somewhere. What a great idea! Besides that, what else can you tell me? Let me tell you what I'll do. The sounds of different instruments intrigue me, which is why I enjoy playing with them unintentionally. This synth has an excellent UI that's easy to use, and makes it easy to change the envelopes, tone, and understand what you're doing. What was the first synth you created? It's a fantastic start. Do you have a music store and want a GREAT new synth to have as a resident? Add this to the list. It has been such a pleasure to own my Bass Station II. It is my first device and I have had so much fun with it. I hope you get it and find great joy in.
