Instrument of outstanding quality
5/5

The P7-I I purchased has the following features As a trumpet player who often plays piccolo parts in brass quintets, I often play those parts on the 4 trumpet. In the past, I had used a Selmer Paris model, but its darker tone didn't provide a bright sound that is needed for certain parts. I agree with many of my trumpet colleagues that the Schilke P5-'s tone is the best, so I replaced it. P4 is considered to produce the definitive sound on a piccolo trumpet, and P7-P8 is considered to be an intermediate sound As an alternative and successor to that instrument, Instrument 4 is described as such. In the opinion of most listeners, their sounds are almost identical. I have been convinced by a phone consultation I had with the Schilke factory that the P7-X is a godsend For me, option 4 is probably a better choice since I mostly play A Schilke E-110 has been played by me I have been playing the Schuchke flute in D and a F/G trumpet for many years, and I use the P7 in E flat/D Despite its reputation for outstanding work and intonation, number 4 maintains its stellar reputation. Regardless, it is a beautiful instrument that produces an exceptionally good sound on works for brass quintets, such as Canadian Brass. This has been very successful for me in two major symphonic works Messiah ("The Messiah") and Pictures at an Exhibition ("Pictures at an Exhibition"-Ravel/Mussorgsky). this case, I had actually tried three high trumpets (the Schilke G, the Selmer Piccolo, and the Schilke P7). In relation to the well-being of well-being It is well known that the single 'Schmuyle' was the best, and my colleagues all agreed The presence of the four was higher than the two others. This guitar has a feature that allows fine tuning to be carried out while playing the first valve slide and third slide through the addition of a saddle and a ring on the first valve slide. It took me a while to move them since they were so stiff. In any case, I was able to visit the Schilke factory, where a technician adjusted the alignments on the spot to allow my legs more freedom. Practicing this will allow the already excellent intonation to be improved with only very slight movements. Although I have found a few minor shortcomings with the instrument, it does have some other advantages as well. One of the problems is that the valve slide extends past the bell, which makes it difficult to fit some instruments into I tend to dewater the instrument fairly often due to the fact that the only water key is located on the fourth valve slide. Perhaps I am more wet than most, but I think pulling the first and third slides is pretty necessary in order to maintain I have learned that using the fourth valve, I can control the high end much more easily and gain much greater brightness, however, the sound in the extreme low register gives up much of the midrange brightness and requires quite a bit of adjustment. Considering that the performance of the instrument is otherwise excellent, these are small prices to pay.
