Questions & Answers

What's the difference between a strap made for a Tenor Sax and one made for an ?

I also have an alto sax strap that works with my tenor, but it is not quite as adjustable as my tenor strap.

Is it too short to hold a tenor sax, or can it be used with a tenor sax as well?

I can't use the alto strap on the tenor sax because it is too short for me. Nevertheless, because the tenor strap is long enough, I can use it for both my tenor and alto saxophones if I am playing in a trio or double. You can use this strap on the alto and soprano if you use it for those two instruments only.

A snap hook is made of metal or plastic (a metal or plastic snap hook)? Is there a metal hook that I can use (I do not want one)?

Despite its plastic material, the hook is extremely strong.

In what ways does the "unique quick-" work Would you mind explaining how the "adjust slider" works? If you want to change the cord length, how do you go about it?

As the middle piece moves, the bottom piece moves as well. I love how easy it is to adjust the

This is an extremely nice strap
5/5

When I first tried this strap, I began by using the unpadded version - it worked perfectly well for my guitar I use this all the time, but I had a cervical fusion many years ago, and there are days when even the lightweight alto hanging around my neck makes me uncomfortable, so I bought this padded version. After a few minutes, you forget you are wearing the strap - its padding is soft and is very comfortable - Any strap will be considered a compliment when I wear it, which is the ultimate reward for me. Using the Rico straps, which are very easy to adjust on my neck with the sax hanging from my wrist, is excellent. Because the padded version is a bit hotter than the unpadded, you may want to consider the unpadded version as well for outdoor summer concerts. My favorite feature about the nylon snap hook is that it's not too big. The hook is extremely safe and secure, and I don't believe the finish on my horn will be scratched as badly at the end of the.

Slips and falls

It is impossible to stop the sax strap from sliding down your neck. The mouthpiece of the sax tends to lower while I am playing due to it sliding down. This feature drew me to purchase the strap, as it is convenient to adjust. Despite its usefulness, it is pretty useless because you have to slide down the screen while playing.

Creating too many words

If you have a flat stomach, this is for you, Tenor. Playing would cause the length to loosen up a bit. Even though I make it as short as possible, it is too long for Alto. It is too late for a.

I am a beginner on tenor sax and this works well for me
5/5

One of my friends who is an extremely active sax player recommended this neck strap. For the money, this seems to be one of the best options. As a result of his suggestions, I picked it up to go with my newly purchased second-hand book The tenor sax is played by hand. As for how well the hook stays attached to the horn, I am pleasantly surprised at both its comfort and its durability. All in all, I think it would be a solid choice for a beginner to learn how to play sax.

I love this
5/5

To make playing my tenor sax more comfortable, I sought out a better strap. With a weight of about 16 pounds and a neck support, the brass piece is quite heavy. To consider, I had two things to think about. 1 .
My back and neck have been strained for years working in jobs that put my back to the test. Over time, the injury can build up.
2. Rico is my top choice when it comes to saxophone accessories because they are affordable and will last a long time. Saxophones are a major investment. If you want them to last, you need to take care of them. Each and every time, their reeds stand out for their quality. In light of this, I decided it would be worth a try to purchase their sax strap for the price. It was a pleasure to give them this chance. I noticed the hook as soon as I saw it. Basically, it's a painted metal S hook that is slightly twisted to hold the sax securely. The first time I heard about this, I was not happy. I questioned whether the hook was as good as a snap-style hook because it has an open end. My experience with it has made me see the usefulness of the choice. The entire instrument would have to move up and back a considerable amount of space for the sax to slide off the curve of the hook. There is no instance where a player would be in a position of rest where this would happen, at least without the player noticing well before the sax comes After that, I noticed the suspension system between the saxophone and the padding around the neck. This was a pulley system consisting of cords that went through the stop and allowed you to control I find these to be extremely useful. When the strap is put on and taken off, the sax is held firm and it does not slip. The strap length had to be reset every time I took it off, and that was my only complaint about my previous strap. It's so convenient to be able to put the strap on and take it off so easily and then put it back on In the final step, we add Wow, what an amazing discovery. I love how comfortable it is. My first reaction was to not think so when I put it on. I found the pad to be too My shoulders shifted and I shifted the strap a little bit and it became more comfortable after a few seconds. I feel a great deal better now that I am in my natural playing positions. The memory foam works well and allows your shoulders to be set up to your neck. I barely feel the strap is there, and I no longer experience pain after playing for hours at a time. In fact, I even find that it is more comfortable for me to shift the saxophone if I need to turn on a backing track or pick up something. That's not bad for 16 pounds of metal hanging from your neck, hanging from two strings. At the end of the day, I would say that the Rico sax strap is true to the Rico name and definitely worth buying their reeds. It can't be overstated how highly I recommend this strap if you have a sax or are looking for a gift for someone who does. Get a sax and the strap along with it if you don't already have either.

This strap has been in my possession for the better part of a decade
4/5

My band has been my favorite band for most of the past 10 years. There's no other band I like better. There is one word of caution with metal hooks If the hook metal is harder than the strap ring metal on your saxophone, it may wear through the strap ring. I recently noticed that the hook in the strap has worn a groove into the ring on my saxophone and I believe that it's the result of the coating wearing off over time. The best thing to do in this case is to be aware and perhaps be prepared to throw out your strap when the coating fades.

A very nice piece of work
5/5

My son is a high school band student and bought this for him. It was only natural to expect this neck strap would be harshly tested at that age. Everyone knows what I am talking about if they have teenagers! This instrument is loved by him and he uses it for both tenor and alto saxophone. The world is therefore in good hands.

It makes you hot to sit on a cushion A little bit of a letdown

There is something good about this product, but it's nothing special. You might sweat a bit if the padding is thick, especially on a warm There's a good level of comfort in general. As I plan on buying a leather neck strap in the future, but the good leather straps are very expensive. This product provided great value for the money spent. In the event you are just interested in purchasing one neck strap, it might be a good idea to search the internet for the best leather neck straps, read about the pros and cons, and decide from there. Based on my research, I believe people are satisfied with the.
