I thought the junior size of this strap was perfect but after watching my 10 year old play his sax with it on, I saw that it After searching for him on Amazon, I ended up ordering him a new one, same brand and all, but the extended version so it will last him even longer since it is It is very comfortable and he says it is of great quality! In the hopes that a smaller kid could benefit from the junior size strap, he donated it to his school.
The neck strap I purchased is a gift for my 10-year-old son Her old strap "cut into her neck" and was uncomfortable, and so she complained to her band mom. Her daughter is in her first year of band. As a former Neotech user, I remembered how much I loved my Neotech when I was a teen, so when I saw that they were making a "junior" size, I was smitten. The player reports that it makes playing more enjoyable and doesn't hurt any more. This is a great product that is the right size for elementary players. This will allow them to play more and for longer periods of time, increasing their enjoyment of music. Just by getting a neck strap, you wouldn't assume all these benefits, but comfort is the key- It's a lot easier for kids to give up playing if they feel uncomfortable. The product is great.
A band student is using this strap for the very first time and it's so much better than the school loaned one. Due to pain around the neck, it was difficult for our child to practice for their saxophone for 20 minutes before this purchase. As a result of this purchase, we have had no pain issues.
