It doesn't make sense to me why silk is used instead of Unlike silk, which cannot absorb liquids, this works well since it just moves the liquids around. In addition, the color is nice.
However, this isn't a pull through swab. You must put it through a piccolo cleaning rod, which I have no idea how to do. If you try to find a cloth swab, as I did with my flute, this would be an excellent solution.
