According to my knowledge, there are no corks on the joints of a flute, so it is not recommended. The item is called cork grease and is designed for the tenon corks on clarinets, oboes, etc. The best place to find out about the flute is to speak with someone who plays it regularly or to visit

It is a product that brought me great joy. I do not know what the quality of the item is since it was stolen from my mailbox, but it is very inexpensive and very compact. Though it's such a specific product, it brings a smile to my face when I imagine the thief's confused disappointment upon opening it. There's got to be something to keep us entertained during quarantine.
My experience with Rico cork grease was better than some of the other brands I've used (Vandoren, Selmer, Buffet) and it was easier to apply. As a saxophonist and clarinetist (bass and soprano), I use it a lot. There is less work and no mess involved when I use less grease and get a thinner coat on the cork.
It's an amazing product to use with the bassoon. When I was in high school, my school gave me a cork grease that I couldn't use, so I finished it fairly quickly. There were many layers to apply, but my bell stayed in place. For the first time in my life, I had to visit three different places. There is though a difference in this case. A thin layer was all that was needed, and it is already delivering results. The bassoonist will benefit greatly from this book.
I think this is the best cheap clarinet cork grease I have found so far. The book is highly recommended!.
