Questions & Answers

Do you know of anyone who has taken their horn on a plane with a case like this? Have you tried it already? How did it go?

It was a trip to Brazil that I took my horn on. I found it to be very useful. Since there were no connection flights between the flights, I don't know how the situation would be if there had been a connection flight. A total of no dent was found on the hirn after its trip. There is no sign that it has been traveling all that time since it looks so good.

Can this be installed on a Yamaha YAS 82Z?

I think that it will work perfectly with the Yamaha custom 82. Thanks for your interest. Rick/Musiqueweb

Can you describe this case like a hard case you'd get with a newly purchased saxophone?

I'm here. This hard case weighs less than two pounds. It is used by some sax companies to make their new instruments. Thanks for taking an interest in my work.

What is the size of the pocket on the front? Is it big enough to hold a music book 13 inches by 9 inches?

Each pocket is divided into two The smaller one measures about 17" by 6" while the larger one measures 14" by 7" (give or take for A music book is not something you can hold. In the larger pocket there is space as big as the whole case (since there is a backpack strap) and in the longer skinnier pocket there is more room (along with the insert for pencils, reeds, etc.). I would probably put the small music from marching band in the pocket or fold up papers in the long pocket. That's all I have to say.

That's a whole lot of value (pun This case has a great overall feel to it! Having owned the tenor saxophone version of this case, I find it holds up well to the amount of All straps are comfortable
5/5

I think I'm going to be able to use it quite a while. A backpack strap may be added to your purchase if you find it useful. I purchased this case to fit my Conn 6m. It fits nicely. In addition to getting the large case, this case will also work if you have left side bell keys. The most difficult part of the fit was my neck. There seems to be an issue with the slot, but it can be squeezed in fairly easily. Because the inside compartment is slightly larger, I would recommend getting an end plug so the instrument will not move around when it's in the bag. Even with a slightly larger inner compartment, there is quite a bit of padding to avoid the instrument jostling.

As a non-member of the military, I really appreciated this Player who is a professional
5/5

It's not uncommon for me to play with a friend who plays keyboards when I'm playing alto sax. I always travel back and forth from his house to fix the keys, I depend on the soft sided gig bag with a padded interior and have been using that ever since. It seems that this type of case does offer a small amount of protection, but not enough. If you bump into the door, thump on your way out of the car, or tip-over in any way, this is what it feels like Upon reaching the ground, the bird fell over. Valve springs and valves are rattled by the tiny things. My laptop case needed two repairs within eight months, so I decided to invest in a better model and bought this one recently. This is a fantastic idea. It is substantial and firm, and it is heavier than a soft case but it is lighter than the original hard case with which the horn came. It has large zip pockets on both sides and an ample amount of storage space. It has a pouch inside the case for my sax, neck and mouthpiece. With the outer pockets, I can carry swabs, cleaning rags, eyeglasses, reeds, reed geek, ligatures, and it even has room for more stuff. Despite its small size, the horn is very snug. It is hard to get all the needed equipment in with room to spare. There is no doubt that this case is a great one.

This is the perfect bag for traveling by small planes! The purpose of purchasing this was to use it while traveling on airplanes, as I did not want to check my instrument in A portable device that would fit on smaller regional jets was needed
5/5

Despite its wooden shell and adequate padding, the bag was still able to keep up when being bounced around and dropped a few times. The Canadair 700 regional jets that have the smallest bins just large enough for a backpack fit this backpack perfectly. I highly recommend this hotel for a wide range of needs and ample storage space. This bag has two carry handles and a strap to carry on the shoulder, as well as multiple ways to carry it.

It's a great case for the saxophone! The King alto saxophone we own belongs to our son (it was mine and my father's up until recently)
5/5

My original case with a handle was used by me as an average height 9 year old girl by the time I carried it to school. It was not worth my time to play it for a long time, as you can imagine. Heavy and bulky, it was a pain to carry. I sent it to school in a Protec case, but my son brings it to school. is equipped with a shoulder strap so that he can support the weight either way. He can easily distinguish it from all the black, plastic rental cases because it's a bright red color. My son is in 4th grade and this is his first year playing an instrument in school. The case has small pockets for his pencil holder, neck strap, cleaning kit, cork grease, etc. He is in 4th grade and this is his first year playing an instrument in school. The fact that he now attends band twice a week requires him to carry the instrument to school. In this instance, I feel more confident knowing that he is carrying our family heirloom.

This is exactly the model of sax I was looking for
5/5

The saxophone I used to carry to the lessons no longer needs to be carried. I have a twelve year old boy The year is The old son is quite small, so the heavy leather case that came with his saxophone, which is a professional model, didn't suit him. Having both music and an oboe in his possession It was my sax that I carried. Blue is his favorite color in the new case. Throughout his life he has always wanted to play both the sax and the oboe. The check book is all I carry was planning on taking the case to school, but since he already has an old beater at school and doesn't need to transport it, he was hesitant to do so. In spite of the fact that my son's private lesson teacher is very picky, he really likes this book This structure is very rigid, but it feels soft to the touch from the outside and is still very light in When I applied for a soft-serve ice cream scoop, I was nervous There are more expensive cases that I have concerns about, but I do not have any with this particular case. There's a lot of storage in this bag, including two zipper pockets on the bottom and top of the bag. A backpack strap is an optional purchase that we made. I suppose it would work great if you were going to carry it quite a distance or ride a bike, but I think for shorter trips you'd be better off just slinging it over your shoulder. A set of feet on the cover will allow the case to stand upright, or even on its side, allowing it to stay off the ground. Having found this, it was truly a blessing. The value, the protection, and the look and feel are good.

The tube is both light and sturdy
5/5

After 5 continuous years of use, things are still going well! I own one of the best saxophone cases ever. This is still a great deal when compared to such pro cases that cost twice or three times as much. For $120, I bought a model from the early days. As well as the above, I like
- Very good heavy-duty work Zippers that are tough and durablebr> Stitching that is of high quality - The back has two handles at the top and on the sides - The case is supported by strong plastic "legs" so that you won't actually need to touch the ground when you set I am* *br* The inside of the bag has soft padding - There are latches on the strap that are strong. *There is an optional backpack strap on the new models. * There are also larger pockets with an organizer and a taller top handle. Customer service is a strength of this company. A must-read! I highly recommend this book!.

The Alto Saxophone Case is very well made The middle size
5/5

In the extra large version of this case, I bought from Protec, it appears to be very well constructed. I have a Fischer (Buescher made) alto saxophone with split bell keys that fits flawlessly. I like the snug fit, but it is not too tight. I also like the internal storage compartments for the neck piece and the mouthpiece. I plan to use the outside pockets to store batteries, swabs, etc. The zippers on all of the pockets are YKK, which are wonderful zippers, if I recall And finally, we have the feet at the right place on the frame. If you put the saxophone inside, it will not topple over when you stand it up. This Protec case is the extra large tenor version I will purchase for my C-. There was also Melody Martin playing saxophone.
