A binder isn't appropriate because it's too small.
It appears to be a general case for any oboe, in my opinion.
It has enough room for all of my belongings as well as the numerous reeds I use. However, I don't keep my reed soaking cup in it because it would cause the case to bulge, which I don't like; this is purely a personal preference, and has nothing to do with the case's excellent quality.
My son's oboe is classified as "intermediate" rather than "beginner," and it fits perfectly; the oboe instructor told me that the case could fit any oboe.

I could probably throw this case across the room and still be able to play my oboe as if it were any other day. It can be carried in a variety of ways. The fact that it can also be used as a backpack comes in handy when I need to travel a little further to get to a concert. As long as you don't try to fit super round or wide items in the front pocket, the case is very slim, so music and folders fit perfectly. As long as the front pocket luggage does not add too much weight, it will stand upright. It should fit most oboes, as it did for me on my fox Renard (model 330). On the inside, there's also room for cork grease, but not the kind used to apply chapstick. Those should fit in the front pockets without difficulty. The three reed case that came with my renard can also be stored inside.
br>br>This is a fantastic case. The color is exactly as shown, mine stays open when I put it on a flat surface (another reviewer said theirs didn't), the pockets are great, it came with a name tag, and mine came with two shoulder straps (I believe this was by accident). The inside top isn't molded, but it's very soft and plush, so I know it'll keep my oboe in place and not wiggle around like it did in my old hard case.
For my daughter's oboe, I purchased this. It's a little lighter than her old case, but it's still quite sturdy. It's been a year of schlepping kids to and from school, band practices, and lessons. It's kept her instrument safe and looks like it's hardly been used at all. There are a lot of pockets for her gear, with the outside one being quite large. Purple (middle/high school) is her favorite color.
I didn't want to part with my old case because it was the original, and I was afraid that any new one would not fit as well. The protect case was a fantastic fit, and I had no doubts about how well it would protect my oboe. It also had enough room for all of my reeds and other accessories.
These were purchased to replace the worn-out ones that had previously been purchased. For our band program, we'll be using Yamaha cases. It's light, has a lot of pockets, and has a lot of storage space. The shoulder strap is extremely comfortable. They are extremely popular among my students.
This case has a lot of room for it!.
I have a full conservatory for my professional oboe and it fits well, nice and snug, with plenty of room in pockets for extra needed items. It appears to be very rugged and of excellent quality, and I would highly recommend it!.
Oboe is well protected in this case, which has additional storage space. Wishing for deeper outside pockets to store a collapsible music stand or an oboe stand.
