In addition to strong, even adhesion, long lasting power, and extremely low powdering, Kolstein Ultra Formulation Supreme Rosins are especially formulated specially for the cello.

With a continuous wetting agent in the formula, the formula has an indefinite shelf life, making application much easier and minimal dusting from the cello rosin while playing. These have the effect of preventing the rosin from drying out over time as well.

I had trouble playing the piano after using my first $5 rosin, which made the strings sticky and difficult. After I switched to Jade, I thought it must be a good choice since I spend some extra money on it. In comparison to the first rosin, Jade was about the same. For cello, I guess it might be good, but not for violin. I have finally found this Kolstein rosin that is specifically designed for cellos. I could immediately hear a big difference in sound and playability as soon as I connected it to the vow. Buying this now would have been a great idea years.
