It says Amazon fulfillment rather than MADE IN CHINA on the item I purchased. As a result, you can tell the quality is poor just by looking at it. Then there's the tailpiece, which is missing a piece that connects to the bottom of the violin's button. The picture on the website shows it, but the actual piece is missing from the package. I'm disappointed that Amazon has made a mistake at this time. Because of Coronavirus outages, I can't just go to a music store, and that violin needs to be played over the internet in a few days for the professor to give a final letter grade. It's a real pain.
I bought this kit to repair a broken tailpiece and bridge on an old violin I was restoring. I also used fine tuners on the "vintage" violin, which was a nice upgrade. All of the components were perfectly aligned and appeared to work without a hitch. I was pleased with the price and consider this to be an excellent value as a kit. I'll definitely buy this kit again if I need to restore any more violins.
Everything I needed to revive my cousin's violin, which I inherited, was included in the kit (except strings). The parts were simple to work with, and the violin was ready to play in about 30 minutes.
I was hoping for a saddle to be included; that would have been awesome! The painted wood pegs turn smoothly. This is a great deal for everything you get.
THE BLACK WOOD APPEARS TO BE EBONY, BUT THE CHIN REST DOESN'T, AS FAR AS I CAN TELL. IN GENERAL, THEY WERE NICELY FINISHED AND APPEAR TO BE QUALITY MADE. THE ONLY WAY TO KNOW FOR SURE IS TO WAIT UNTIL THE.
Works very well and is a Great price for what you get I just wish that the bridge was already shaved but other wise I’m’m happy%.
All of the items in one package are exactly as described.
This kit was fantastic for the most part. After stringing and tuning it for the first time, the end pin, however, snapped in half while sitting.
