Questions & Answers

Hello, I recently purchased a violin, and this product was recommended for use on the tuning pegs. Could someone please explain how to use this product? thanks?

Remove the peg and give it a light rub. Soak the peg in soap, then replace it and tighten the string carefully. Apply one peg at a time, and YouTube has some excellent videos on how to do so. Soap, as well as any other violin-related issues you may encounter along the way

Is this going to help a peg that won't stay put?

Yes, that is precisely why I bought. If this doesn't solve your problem, you may need to make a change.

This is fantastic, and it works perfectly
5/5

This is an excellent product. It didn't bother me in the least. There's a reason they haven't changed their recipe: it's effective! br>I bought each of my daughters a violin for Christmas, but I didn't know about peg compound, so they've both had trouble staying in tune because the pegs have slipped. I put this stuff on the pegs of one violin and it no longer slips. I'm hoping it will work on the other one as well. br>I don't think I'll need to purchase this again, but if the need arises, I'll be sure to do so.

As expected, it functions properly
5/5

I'm in a good mood right now. This was extremely beneficial. You just rub a little along pegs and then work the pegs back and forth in the holes until they feel right. It's small, like half a crayon, but it's truly all you'll need for a long time. Then, and this is the difficult part, restring.

It does exactly what it's supposed to do, and it does it very well! I couldn't be happier with the performance of this product; I first used it on an inexpensive electric violin that was impossible to tune because the pegs would let go completely or loosen one string while tuning another, which is to be expected from a cheap violin setup
5/5

So I tried this product first, and it went from untunable and frustrating to try, to extremely smooth and more predictable peg turning, which made it so easy to adjust, and the best part is no more slipping! I used it on my high-end violins after that because I was so pleased with it! It comes highly recommended.

Small
5/5

The item was delivered in excellent condition. br>It appears to be quite small, which I didn't anticipate, but I never double-checked the measurements. It'll go a long way, I'm sure. br>Information on the tube - It appears to be a lipstick tube that can be screwed out in the picture - It's actually a cillinder of compound wrapped in paper and stored in a tube. Because it's possible that it'll be a little messy to use, I'd suggest keeping some of the paper.

It was an excellent solution
4/5

I'm no expert, and this is the first time I've attempted to make my own pegs, so I'm not sure if the quality is up to par, but I'm satisfied. I went with this brand because I have Conrad Gotz accessories on my violin and trust the company.

I could have been mistaken
5/5

The violin pegs will be smoothed out with this product. However, I reasoned that it would aid in the holding of the pegs. NO! It causes them to slack even further. However, I will receive a complete refund. I'm giving it a five-star rating.

I was disappointed
3/5

It is a small space. It's a shape I couldn't apply to the pegs without completely removing them, so I angled the stick to get a point so I could apply it with the peg partially pulled out, but it didn't go on very well, and the pegs didn't hold very well. br>I'll give something else a shot.

Tube that is extremely small
3/5

Tube is extremely small. It's not even close to the size of a lipstick. It is not worth the price.
