Like ME! Because I was interested in the strings, I recently purchased a reasonably priced violin. Of course, violins are not the same as pianos, but I bought this as a cheap addition to my investment to help me learn where the notes are. I had been practicing for a week prior to receiving this product, but since installing it on the instrument, my finger placement has improved dramatically. As a college student learning strings for the first time, I highly recommend this guide; it's easy to put on, and it doesn't stick to the violin as advertised. Because it only clings to itself, it is easy to remove in the future. br>br>Creative+ paraphrase: After a month of use, I decided it was time to remove the training wheels. I still need some practice now that I'm not using a visual aid, but I think this product helped me get started. Due to minor differences in violins, I was cautioned about using finger guides. I also asked her to lower my bridge/nut (which could explain why it's not working). However, when I used my tuner to double-check finger placement, everything was razor-sharp. br>br>I gave it two stars because it would be perfect if you didn't know the note'order. The trick is to pull it all the way down over the fingerboard, making sure there are no bubbles, and then. . . it wraps itself around itself And bam! It hasn't moved an inch since I put it on about two months ago. Amazing.

This is the most brilliant musical invention ever devised. I began learning the violin six months ago and purchased this finger-style bow. After 3 months, the guide is ready to be used. Because of this guide, I've gained a better understanding of music theory, and it's also assisting me in learning fingering much more quickly than the traditional method.
