Questions & Answers

Can I use it to check whether the pitch I'm playing is correct when I'm playing a song? When the tuner responds, how quickly does it do so?

It can check long notes but not short ones because it responds as quickly as any other tuner. The pitch markers, on the other hand, are white in the middle with yellow on each side, so there is little contrast to see while playing. As a result, I believe that keeping an eye on your pitch while playing would be difficult.

Is it possible to use this tuner on a 3/4-sized upright bass?

I'm not sure if the clip will fit your bass because it opens to 1 1/4 inch at its widest point.

Is there a more detailed instruction manual available on the internet? I'm not sure what the frequency setting is for or how to use it. ?

The pitch can be changed by pressing the top button: 440 (standard pitch) to a faster pitch, as well as turning the tuner on and off. The bottom button selects the tuning instrument: Violin, viola, and cello are three instruments that can be used in a concert setting. base. I hope this has been of assistance.

Is there a negative impact on the player's posture as a result of this?

What makes you think that? You finish tuning your instrument and store it. It simply clips on and is as light as a feather. After we've finished tuning the instrument, I have my granddaughters clip it off.

The majority of the time it works fine, but the button design is terrible
4/5

I had a nice KORG clip before I started this project. I bought this tuner because I couldn't clip my guitar tuner to my viola. This one disappoints me because the clip is smaller than I expected, and I have to open it almost all the way to get it to fit on the peg box. It's as if it's just a smidgeon too big. However, it has not yet popped off, so it may be fine; the fact that it is so small and light is a plus. Even when I put the instrument back in the case, I was able to keep it clipped on the instrument. br>br>As other reviewers have stated, making the power button also act as a tuning adjustment is ridiculous. I've already bumped it to A 441 and had to cycle through to get back to A 440 on several occasions. Most users, I expect, will only need to adjust this on rare occasions, if at all, so it should be more difficult to change by accident. Another issue is that when I try to tune my D string in viola mode, it occasionally recognizes the note as A. When I change from viola to chromatic mode, it recognizes the D correctly.

So far, the tuner has proven to be very reliable
5/5

I attached one to my violin and the other to my viola. So far, the tuner has proven to be very reliable. It only tunes the four open string notes of the mode you choose, as others have pointed out. So, if you're like me and thought you'd be able to use it to practice your fingering positions, you'll be disappointed to learn that it doesn't display any other note variations. But that's fine because without your hands in the way, you wouldn't be able to see it. Ha! As a result, there isn't anything to debate. br>I like that it gives you the option of playing violin, viola, cello, or bass. I'm going to see how a cello fits in there because my wife has one. The reading was very bright. br>It's something I'd recommend.

Awesome
5/5

Awesome. AWESOME! I decided to buy three more tuners after giving one of these tiny tuners a good run for its money. This way, I'd have dedicated tuners for my bass, violin, viola, and cello. That's how enamored I am with these tuners! The interface is straightforward. If you're using them for anything other than open strings tuning, make sure you use the chromatic setting (for example, if you're adding position tapes). Also, make certain that you're using them at 440 Hz. I understand that getting used to the buttons takes some time, but with minimal use, you'll be comfortable with them in no time, and as for battery life, I have no complaints. I CAN'T SAY ENOUGH GOOD THINGS ABOUT THESE TUNER. AN EXTREMELY GOOD INVESTMENT!.

This is a fantastic tuner for learning how to play the guitar
5/5

For my violin, I love this tuner. I can just tune it to the continuous mode, which records each note. I use it to make sure my fingers are on the correct notes because I'm new to the instrument. To put it another way: It was simple for me to read and correct my placement. Setup is a breeze. Turning on and off is a breeze. Fits perfectly beneath the scroll on my D/A string pegs. I'm also learning at my own pace with the Trala app, which I use every day. The interface is very user-friendly. The app and the tuner complement each other nicely. I would purchase this item again. I was using an app on my phone, but I wanted to be able to keep my head in the right place while playing the violin and reading the music. Too much of the time, the phone was getting in the way.

Tuner for the violin
5/5

This tuner looks like it will be useful in tuning my violin. It's possible that the clip could open a bit wider. It will not fit over the peg box as shown in the photo. I was able to place one side of the clip over the tuning peg, but the end of the tuning peg sticks out on the other side, preventing me from using it as shown in the picture. Both sides of the clip should be able to pass over the tuning peg, in my opinion. Do you understand what I mean? This modification, combined with a slight widening of the clip spring, would solve the problem. Furthermore, the two white buttons on the back are extremely small and easy to press by accident. The screen is bright and clear, and I believe the tuning is accurate. It came with two CR2032 batteries, which I thought was a nice touch; it was well packaged and arrived on time; I'll be able to use it once I figure out the best location for it on the scroll.

You can tune in to it, yes, but
3/5

It's possible to tune into it, but that's all there is to it. Even so, it appears that finding the actual note you're playing is a challenge. I believe it's because the other strings are vibrating sympathetically. It does help to dampen the other strings. Also, the tuning peg attachment method seemed novel at first until I realized you can't just leave it alone. It must be moved out of the way in order to make coarse tuning adjustments at the tuning pegs. A tuner is also useful for confirming what my ears are telling me. This is an area where this tuner falls short. It has trouble locking down the note when the strings are open. This tuner has been replaced by a D'Addario Micro Violin Tuner.

Please do not waste your time
3/5

This is simply not true. For G and D, this tuner appears to be accurate, but not for A and E. This tuner will go from an A to an E even if you pluck the same string and don't adjust the tune. Although the pitch remains constant, the tuner's reading changes. It's extremely aggravating. Now I must locate a suitable tuner to replace this one. Also, when a string is plucked, it does not always register. As a result, you must sit there plucking, stopping the vibration, plucking again, and so on. It's a real pain. Choose a better tuner to save your sanity and money.

I'm completely content
4/5

I'm new to the violin and needed some assistance in getting it tuned up. The display on this tuner is easy to read and understand. The attachment piece's rotatation allows for a variety of positions, which I appreciate. This tuner can also tune a variety of instruments and frequencies at the same time. My husband has been playing guitar since he was a teen and owns tuners for all of his instruments. We compared it to his previous ones and found it to be just as accurate, if not more so. Because I had to replace the included battery (a standard watch battery) within a week, I gave it four stars. and if the violin is not clipped on correctly, it has a tendency to lose its grip. It's very safe if it's put in the right spot. It's excellent value for money.
