The cello can only be shipped in the case if it is packed in a hard case and shipped in a box with packing material. In this case, I would not recommend shipping.
Yes- A sleeve for a bow is included. This is a very well-made soft case!
No, the endpin will always go through this hole.
a sheet of I wouldn't expect it to be rainproof because the music sleeve closes with a Velcro flap rather than a zipper. proof. When the case is carried in a backpack, however, this is a different story. The sleeve is positioned against the wearer's back, providing some weather protection.

We were looking for a replacement for our 1/2 size cello bag, which was falling apart, so we chose this one based on the price and similarity to our previous cello storage bag. Would have preferred a case, but it was too expensive. br>This cello bag is well made and has plenty of padding. A pocket for holding music books is an added bonus. Since our purchase, the price has risen a little. Backpacking is a must-have feature. Parents of school-aged children, in particular - who are frequently found traveling with it I strongly suggest it for 9-year-olds. Cellist of a certain age.
If you can't afford a more expensive cello case, this one will suffice; however, it lacks rigidity. If the case were to be bumped or banged, I would be concerned about the safety of my cello, but it keeps everything together, has some padding, and protects it from scratches. I wouldn't recommend leaving a bow in the case when the cello isn't in it, because I believe it would be easy for it to break if the case were to bend (it's quite flexible and bends easily).
I've seen bags like this that make me think the cello is separated from the rest of the world by more than just tissue. The point was that I wouldn't let my daughter carry the cello to Junior High in it. It's fine going back and forth between lessons. br>br>I'm demoting it a year later. It does such a poor job of protecting the cello that my family refuses to use it. It's only been used a handful of times. The goal is defeated. They won't even put the cellow in the bag to store it!.
Great bag for the price, with the added bonus of a hole in the bottom for the stand. Sturdy. Zippers that are strong. Extra book or note storage space. If you can't afford a hard shell case like I can, this case is a great alternative.
What I was looking for. This was a significant upgrade over the 30 years I had been storing my cello in an old canvas and vinyl case. It has a few nice pockets for storing music, rosin, and other small items, and it zips all the way up to the neck.
I'm a complete novice, so I'm not sure how well this would work for someone with more experience or who plays more frequently. For a few months, I had been taking lessons once a week and needed a good case. I had previously tried a less expensive version, but it lacked padding and had cheap zippers that broke after only three uses. This is my second case, and it has served me well, with a nice pocket for my books. I have no complaints, and it has held up admirably (again, this is coming from someone who isn't particularly knowledgeable about cellos).
Outstanding craftsmanship! It's actually better than we expected, so we got a lot of bang for our buck, and it'll come in handy for transporting the cello to lessons. He'll keep the hard case for other occasions, such as: Concerts and rehearsals with the symphony orchestra - because the hard case provides an extra layer of protection for large groups of musicians However, it is fantastic for getting from our house to the private teacher. There are numerous pockets for items such as rosin, rock stops, and other necessities.
It's a nice bag, and it's well made. Padding around the neck is adequate. To allow for full opening, the zipper goes all the way around the neck. We have an older version of the superior 3/4 bag with a zipper that only goes part way up the neck, so you must put the cello neck first into that bag. This one is going to be a lot more user-friendly. The opening for the pin to protrude has been reinforced. The backpack straps don't have much padding, but since this bag is only used for storage (not transportation), it won't be a problem.
