The case will hold no more than a 3/4 cello. The dimensions are the same as a 3/4 cello. The cello bow fits the bow that came with my 3/4 cello, and the side pockets have their own dimensions.
The exterior fabric is made of a thick nylon material and is quite durable. Ours is still going strong. It's of good quality.

I'm not a musician, so I'm not familiar with various instrument cases, but my son has been playing the Cello for a few years and has been using the soft case that came with his student instrument rental/purchase. While that case was well-made and provided adequate protection against scratches and other damage for occasional transport, it lacked sufficient padding and protection for the daily commute to and from, as well as for use in crowded middle school hallways. Despite my son's best efforts to care for his instrument, the instrument had developed several cosmetic flaws after a year in that case. As a result, we decided to investigate something that would provide us with more protection. br>br>We went with the Bobelock Soft Cello Bag and have been very happy with it thus far. It appears to be well constructed with high-quality materials, and it appears to have sufficient padding to protect the instrument from the daily grind of middle school (we'll see once school begins). If you want a high-quality, well-padded Cello bag, look no further. This one should be at the top of your to-do list.
I paid full price for the entire set. I liked the size and decided to buy it to protect an expensive instrument. We were almost tempted to go with a hard case, but this appeared to be more protective, and it was also lighter!.
This was purchased for my daughter, who already had a hard shell case. We wanted something that was a little more lightweight and compact. With a carry strap, handle, and backpack straps, this case is ideal. It has a bow pocket and a music pocket, as well as a medium-sized pocket for her rockstop, tuner, and rosin. It appears to be well-made (I've only had it for a few weeks) and arrived quickly. Excellent seller and product.
