I've never heard of a cello bridge having to be removed in order to store it. The sound post was about to come crashing down. This is a fantastic situation to be in. Because of the wheels, it's a little heavy, so I'd recommend purchasing an extra strap to wear it on your back when the weather is bad or you need to avoid obstacles.
I simply placed it on the bathroom scale in our house. 16 lbs. We are pleased with this case because my 14-year-old son (9th grader) is able to handle it perfectly well.
Montagnana models are unlikely to work in this situation. For larger instruments, Bobelock has a different model available. The model is referred to as the 2000XL. For the XL model, the price remains the same.
Yes. Each latch has the option of being locked or unlocked.

It's light enough for me to carry, but rolling it is more fun. It rolls easily on most surfaces (except gravel), and it stands up well on carpet. My only gripe is that when I close it, the front and back don't always line up perfectly. To get them to fit together, a little jiggling is required. I guess there's one more thing I'd like to say: Even after leaving it open for weeks, the interior has an odd odor that hasn't gone away. It's started to smell like it on my cello. I'm crossing my fingers that it will go away with time, but other than that, it's a fantastic cello case.
For my daughter's cello, I made a class case. It has a good weight. To close the locks, they must be perfectly aligned, but this isn't a difficult task. She stands at a height of 5 feet and 10 inches. , so I needed a case that wasn't too heavy but still stood up to abuse. The color options available were appealing.
My wife, who plays the cello in an orchestra and has to transport her instrument on a regular basis, received this as a gift. This took the place of a case that was becoming increasingly difficult to transport and carry (and that she had been using for a long time). The Bobelock case was significantly lighter, and the wheels and handles made transporting it much easier. It makes her happy!.
There was a slight odor inside that went away once it was opened and aired out. The weight, the color (blue), the latches, and the overall construction are all excellent. When she has to carry the cello rather than wheel it, I wish it had two shoulder straps instead of one. Excellent value for money!.
Very strong and not overly heavy. We've been looking for a cello case for quite some time. We looked at more expensive models but didn't want to spend a lot of money right now, so this case is ideal for us. It's a tough piece. I really like the color. It's not too heavy, and the wheels make it easy to move around, and it's as small as a cello case can get. My husband's Chevy Malibu has plenty of room in the trunk for it.
The case is a little on the heavy side. Aside from that, it's a strong case.
This was a gift for my 14-year-old daughter. year- It's a hit with my 10-year-old son! For a very nice case, this is a good price. The blue is a nice shade of blue, and the lining is soft. His 4/4 cello fits perfectly in the case, which isn't overly heavy.
This is my cello case, which I adore. It's very gentle on the cello and provides excellent cushioning. There's enough room for two bows, plus a pocket for your rosin and tuner. I don't use the wheels because it's so light. I usually have it with me. Overall, this is an excellent case!.
