This is a lovely red. My son was worried that it would be a girly color, but it isn't. It has a rosy tint to it, but it is not pink; rather, it is red. It appeals to him greatly.

It's a nice case, but it's not without flaws

PROSbr>The case is light and has a distinctive color. consbr>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br Shell is a thin plastic, so I'm not sure how well it'll hold up over time. If used for airline cargo, I'd be concerned because the shell is flexible enough to be pushed in with some force. In addition, in comparison to a shiny fiberglass case, the textured plastic appears to scuff easily.
2. The latches and locks appear to be of a low-grade construction. I'm qualified to comment on these because I've used a wide range of cases, including butterfly and SKB TSA-approved latches.
3. The connection points where the handles attach to the case appear to be of a low quality - Only a few rivets kept it in place. br>br>In the end, only time will tell, but I believe the manufacturer could have done a better job making the case more road worthy for the $600 price tag.

It's light and nice

Even with the wheels, I really like how light this case is. I haven't had it long, but given that it's a BAM, I expect it to last a long time. The only complaint I have is that closing the clasps while the case is standing up is difficult.
