I don't think it works with phantom power at all. A phone should not have a microphone made for use with a phone. If you need a microphone for your iPhone, take a look at Ik Multimedia.
In this particular application, I have not used these, but I have used them for overhead drum mics and close high hats. It is more likely to pick up background noise with such mics. Try a tighter patterned dynamic mic (hypercardioid or supercardioid). It might be possible to use a Sennheiser 7b or 945

The pencil condenser mics in this pair are matched and beautiful. Among my microphones, I have a large number ranging from the high-end to the low-end The range is 50 to 60. This is the second overhead mic pair I've read about, and I thought for the price they might be nice to use for stereo acoustic guitar takes, or as a second overhead mic pair. This was my first encounter with these, and I was impressed. This is a very nice build quality, they are light and robust at the same time. There is neither a thin nor a bass heavy or a mid scooped sound. The sound is quite true to the source, but there is a slight bump in the upper midrange and The sound of the headphones is smooth (which was what I was afraid of before I tried them). Although I haven't used them as overheads so far, just for acoustic guitar, they sound good. They don't beat out some of my other mics for their sound (although they are much more expensive), but they do sound very All of my friends would definitely appreciate these. We have some sweet sounding mics.
These mics were used to record a drum kit with four of them The bottom snare, hi hat and the overheads are played. In order to track, I use Neve clone preamps in conjunction with a Orion Studio interface. These mics didn't work well for my application. I suspect there is no problem with the smooth top end of these mics when playing softer styles of music.
This Lewitt LCT 040 is not a bad mic by any means, but it is not outstanding. The sound is about the same as the Audix F15, but the form factor is much smaller. It is very easy to overload since the high hats are placed so close.
They can be used as overhangs for crystal clear cymbals or mounted to toms to elevate the overall kit. Match them with a Shure mic clamp and you are good to go. A 48v power supply is needed, it comes with a nice case and the wind screens make them look really nice. Take action before it's too late!.
The impression I got was very good. I have worked with quite a few microphones in my life, but this one was the best for the price I paid. I'm not sure what to make of it. seems to be a great product, far better than most, with a considerable amount of years on the market and a good name.
There are some great, affordable, matching small diaphragm condensers on the market. Their response is very good and I have used them on acoustic guitar as well as to drum overheads. I love how small and compact they are, and how great they sound!.
This mic is a great value, and combined with my QSC TouchMix it makes it a total package. It makes my life a lot easier having an 8 Digital Mixer. This is the sound you will get with my Paiste 2002 cymbals. I can guarantee you that you will be thrilled with it.
A pair of these makes guitar sound incredibly loud and clear in the mix, but you have to buy the XY mic mount for them to work.
