Do you know if the base material (the part that attaches to the wall) is plastic, metal, or wood?

There are no moving parts in the base. This anchor and screw kit comes with the product. On it I hang my Fender acoustic guitar. There have been no problems so far. The guitars are coming! I can't wait to hang them for a feature wall.

What if I wanted to use this for prop swords as well?

So long as they are not too heavy, they should be able to.

A reliable source

It is my understanding that these will hold at least 30 pounds. I'm hanging guns on them, as cheap and effective a solution as you can imagine. The guitars I hang from them are also hanging from those. This is a great product that is incredibly.

It works All you need for mounting is a screwdriver, but it is not included. One of the best parts of the template is its self-sticking ability.

A mounting system for instruments

This is a great product. It took me less than 15 minutes to install (despite using the anchors included). It's nice to be able to move the arms independently of each other, which is helpful for my asymmetric head stock dulcimer. Two of the brackets were used to hold a mini keyboard and two to hold my mountain dulcimer, ukulele, children's guitar, and a ukulele.

Hold on to your hats

The arms of one of them were loose, which made them difficult to hang my guitars in my office. They are sturdy, but I got one that worked well. This one worked for a while, but there was a kink in it.
