Questions & Answers

If my guitar had only one active pickup, would this work as a replacement?

you are asking if you can run active and passive pick ups on one guitar, the answer is no. When you ask if the set will work with one cavity for a pick up, the answer is yes, but you would be wasting your money since you would only use one rather than both pick ups. As far as I know, the bridge is being sold on its own. Look for deals on Ebay, Reverb, etc. before you buy.

Which versions of the 6 strings are active and which ones are ?

The active pickups, if you have a guitar with passive pickups, you have to see if it can fit within the connector's space the passive pickups, on the other hand, is better.

Can they handle the work more efficiently than are emgs? Are they smaller than an ?

The humbuckers are slightly larger than the standard type. In a LTD M-based vehicle, I have a number of them installed There was a pickup stock on Black Metal that was made of wood. In the end, I ended up using a humbucker ring after routing it out a bit. In terms of size, I'm not sure how they compare

Is there a limit to the size of knobs that can be used on these pots? It would be helpful for me to know what the diameter of the stems is. ?

You can use any knob of a standard size. As soon as I swapped over my stock knobs that were on my guitar,

This character is brutal and flexible at the same time
5/5

There are quite a few options for accuracy and flexibility with this pickup, which is ideal for fans of active modern metal pickups. Both pickups were wired for 2 different volume and tone settings the neck and bridge volume knobs were set up separately for each pickup, and the neck tone knob was set up for single coil pickup control for both pickups. It is necessary to wire the single coil power options in this way due to the slightly unusual manner in which they need to be wired. Even if you made it all the way through that, you've probably realized that the drawback to these pickups is their wiring and sheer number of options. Now that we've set the mood, let us talk about the content. As a result, the bridge pickup on V1 sounds similar to that of an EMG 81 but with a lower bass quality. No problems like those usually encountered on EMGs and Seymour Duncan actives were heard here. There is only pure, clean tone in it. The effect is more noticeable when playing through a low power amp setting. In V2, the low mids are a bit more prominent and the upper treble a bit less so. I am using a low gain amp to achieve this very clean sound. Both settings are extremely useful when it comes to achieving a modern metal tone thanks to their high gain. Not to be confused with a DiMarzio Super Distortion tone, V2 is not a Seymour Duncan JB tonality. Quite effective and unique, this passive tone is quite usable and Compared with an EMG 85 with no compression, the neck pickup V1 sounds like an EMG 85. As a result of how badly the 85 compresses, this is far more apparent than the bridge pickup. As a result, the neck pickup becomes a much more useful instrument. The sound quality is incredible at both low and high gain levels. It is as clean as can be, no distortion or preamp compression, and all super clean. This is unreal. For the neck pickup, there is a V2, which is a passive but medium-pulse pickup This tone produces a high output. I find this tone to be extremely useful and a real Tones from neck pickups are normally not my favorite. My neck pickup seems to be mediocre, despite the fact that I never used a really good one. In both high gain and clean settings, the V2 is a great passive neck tone. I'm going to show you the single coil tone options now. It is highly recommended to use these pickups with this option, as you will have to research the wiring diagrams on the Fishman site. It's hard to describe the sounds of the single coil. Stratocaster loaded with a Lace Rainbow set, and I've set up the Fishman Fluence Modern to single coil, and the tone is very similar to the Lace single coil. On clean amp settings, this is a delicate, responsive, absolutely beautiful amplification. It is the fact that every time I switch from V1 to V2 that I can hear a difference. The result is that with each pickup, I have 4 distinct, excellent tones that I can use very effectively. There is no typo in this sentence. The pickup is actually 4 pickups in one (and the high tilt feature is not wired in). These pickups have a great modern high gain tone with flexible options for clean amp settings, so I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a solid modern sound. The new best ones are going to be great for metal tones, and they are going to be great We performed this review with a Mesa Triple Rectifier and a Nutube Screamer pedal from Ibanez as well as a Jackson King V6.

It is not possible to fit the Fishman Seven string modern set to the Ibanez 7420
3/5

The support team is not available for troubleshooting. Although I was very eager to install these in my Ibanez S7420, they do not fit the pick up cavity in that instrument. Unfortunately, these don't fit (unless you rough out the pick-up cavity). I wasted my time ordering these only to find out the hard way what I did wrong. To make sure that the cause of this was not me, I tried troubleshooting with them, but they only offer Amazon customer service, which in this case is ineffective. My review will be updated if someone contacts me in regards to the issue. My work with this guitar is on hold until this guitar is fixed with these ill-fitting.

I am amazed at the quality of these
5/5

The Fishmans are in my 7 string guitar so I can see if they are worth all of the hype before purchasing a set for it. (A set of Fishmans requires modifications My order for the 7 string pickups came the same day that I had installed these pick-ups in my LTD 6 string and I had tried out different settings. I thoroughly enjoyed hearing them. I have always preferred passive pickups, mainly Seymour Duncans, with the exception of a couple of EMGs I used in the late 80s. It's so great to hear the Fishman Fluence pickups when you play them. They sound so immediate, almost like what you play somehow comes out of your amp faster. That's all I can really describe it. To me, that makes no sense and is probably just a trick of how much clearer they sound than high quality passives (I replaced a pair of SD Nazgul-Sentients that I absolutely loved and will use on another instrument This is an accurate and clearly defined attack that doesn't seem If you choose to use multiple voices, installation is not easy. However, it is not much different from installing passive coils with a coil tap and the kits really do come with everything you need, so it is worth adding that into the overall cost of the You could easily be looking at an additional $50 worth of parts, on top of the price of the pickups themselves, if you buy a set of Seymour Duncans and need new pots, capacitors, or jacks. I highly recommend this book.

The audio is crystal clear with a It's almost like they didn't exist
5/5

This pickup is the only one I've ever come across that let's the F# string on an 8-string the low note A string guitar that sings along with the rest of the strings in a chord. The sound is clear and full of bass. It was almost as if they had fewer intermods. A cheap Harley Benton guitar I purchased was transformed by these new parts. Likewise I own a Strandberg Boden 8 of the same brand. It's a wonderful pickup, and it sounds wonderful.

Make sure to watch out for size
5/5

It is worth saying that I love fluences, and I've had a set on my main 6 string for about half a year, so I decided to buy a set to upgrade my 7 string, which is a Schecter C-style. You can choose either 7 Deluxe or 7 Premium. My wiring experience and readiness to wire active pickups would normally help here, but the pickups are so long, I found it a bit challenging. previously had Seymour Duncan Black Winter pickups in the guitar, but they had to be routed for extra length at the screw base flaps (or whatever it's called on the flat part you screw the adjustment screws into), These pickups are 90mm long, 40mm wide, and 79mm long for the housing. They have a screw base flap that measures 40mm long, and the screw base flap measures 40mm wide. Make sure you check your measurements thoroughly, and you may have to sand the inside of the frames to fit these pickups too, because mine did not have That being said, let's get straight to it. Those are the pickups you should be looking at. There have been complaints about active pickups sounding sterile or not having good dynamic range, but I haven't been experiencing any of these issues powerful punch and clarity about them that I absolutely love, and the sheer number of wiring options means you can create a range of tones that can absolutely be used for any kind of music. In terms of tonal details, I won't go into great detail because there are many reviews and videos that will be much more useful, but please measure your cavities and frames before you buy these, so you will know if you have to make any extra space for routing.
