Questions & Answers

What kind of steel is used for the frets?

There are nickel-silver frets on this guitar. My pleasure to answer your questions!

Do the neck's headstock and fretboard have a hard clear satin polyurethane finish?

Satin is used for the neckline. There has been no issue with the quality of these products I have used in the past. In order to give my projects a clear gloss finish, I sand them, and then imbue them with a good vinyl sealer, and then top them with high gloss nitrocellulose

Do you think UPS or FedEx will work for this? Do I need a special permit to send a package through the USPS?

FedEx is stewmac's preferred shipping method right now. The FedEx they use is reputable and a good company, but I personally would like more information about whom they use. A reliable source. Your package will be notified with a tracking number as well as an estimated delivery date as soon as it ships.

In how many feet does it measure in its full length? The neck of my guitar should not be short. ?

This is a standard Strat length of 25 inches. The fifth "

This is excellent
5/5

It took me a long time to find out what others thought about this Mighty Mite Neck before purchasing it. The consensus seemed to be that most preferred this neck compared to Fender, Warmouth, and Squire models. This is not the first guitar I have restored and I was not disappointed with it. It's amazing how well finished it is and how well made it is. A little bit of thickness was visible at the heels. It fit the body of my guitar very well after a quick sanding job to take it down 1/32". My setup required only a small amount of relief from the truss rod, so I adjusted it 1/4 turn to accommodate it. Level frets and a straight neck indicate that the instrument is in good condition. I was pleased to find that it arrived carefully packed and heavily padded to prevent damage during It is great that I bought this for $150 rather than paying $200 for the Fender that some report has rough finishes, uneven frets, This neck has been designed for Strat guitars. There is nothing to disappoint you.

There is a difference in the size of the heel and the heel toe compared to the specifications I drew one star off for the fact that it is 55 mm thick at the heel and not 55 mm wide
4/5

This is a 56 mm StewMac list. There is a defect on one of the tuner holes as well. You can see the picture on the right. It may be hidden by a tuning machine, but the imperfections remain. Furthermore, the nut is smaller than how it is listed, and it is 1 5/8 inches long. Putting the satin finish on the MIM Stratocaster made it feel better than the original gloss polyurethane finish. It installed easily on my Strat and is very nice. You don't have to work on the frets or nut. There were no issues going from 21 to 22 frets as well. Polishing the frets was something I did. I played better with this neck than I did with the original.

The neck is in good shape
5/5

No, it's not as good as the neck on my American Standard Telecaster, but it's It had a tiny blemish up near the 3rd fret on the back of the neck. There is a very small little speck about the size of a grain of salt in this area, but this is getting progressively smaller over time. You can't see it unless you put your face right up to it, but it exists. I really like the way it feels and plays. The hardware is particularly attractive when it's black. The frets are nice, perhaps a little sharp at first, but now I am used to it, I no longer notice. There is no need to worry about you being scratched or cut. On the Squier Affinity strat I wanted to make this playable, I put this on. I paid forty dollars for the guitar and now I think it is one of my favorite instruments. This is a great product and I recommend it and would purchase.

This is an excellent neck replacement
5/5

The neck of my MIM Strat was scalloped the moment I got it back in 2000. It also had a scalloped neck, which I immediately disliked, and I ended up putting it in a closet for twenty It was important to me to make it playable again, so I decided to buy this neck. After applying tung oil, the next step was to apply another coat. The application I submitted was 3 During the course of two days, I applied four coats. After applying, wait 30 minutes for it to soak in, then wipe off Waiting too long will only make it worse! Repetition a few hours later will be necessary. It will feel a bit strange at first, but after a few days, it will dry and harden completely and feel very nice and smooth. To prevent scratching of the wood parts of the fretboard, we also used some 0000 steel wool after taping the wood to make sure that it did not scratch. There was initially some roughness to the frets, but it is easy to After rubbing some lemon oil into the neck, it was ready to wear. It is a great investment to buy some locking tuners that are inexpensive. I also loved how the neck fit within my body perfectly. Definitely ordering another of these if I need to build another Partscaster in the future. Because it's up to the customer to finish it as they see fit, I did not give it a rating of 5 stars for craftsmanship. The fretboard is lightly rough out of the box, with no finish. The good news is, the great can be made easily.

The neck on this woman is gorgeous! On a Jag build I did for my son, I used this neck
5/5

I was so impressed with how well the product worked As expected, there were some rough spots or fret sprouts, but it turned out to be fine. It's not my first time using Mighty Mite products as I have been using them since I was a young child. It turns out that in Indonesia they make great necks, but I was put off by the fact that it is all imports now.

There is a great feeling to the neck of this Strat
5/5

Last night, I played this for the first time and it turned out to be a wonderful neck! You will find this one to be just as good as any Fender you have played but for a much lower price. If you want to restore or redesign your guitar, you can't go wrong.

Getting a brand name neck does not justify the extra cost
5/5

Compared to the previous one, this one is far superior. Buying an off brand neck for a guitar that I was investing a significant amount of money into electronic wise was a lot of stress for me. I am delighted with my decision. The neck is better than a genuine Fender neck, in my opinion.

It was easy to install and it was a good guitar neck for the price
4/5

This is my first "guitar build", so I'm not expert on guitar parts quality, but this neck worked fine. It does not appear there was a lacquer finish on the neck, as far as I know. Strings or tuning pegs were not built into the neck, but frets were already installed and holes in the body were drilled so that tuning pegs could be installed later. As far as I could tell, the only flaw in the neck I received was that the groove in the nut was shallow so that the string would pop out at times when My knife cannot reach the groove in the nut, so I have tried to deepen it with a knife.
