Questions & Answers

Are the locking tuners on the Fender guitar compatible with this?

You can use it with any style of Fender tuning key

I need to replace the stock, plastic nut with an appropriate tusq nut. What size should I use?

This would be a good match for the 5010 PLQ XL with a flat bottom. It will be necessary for you to tap out your existing nut on the fender to make sure the bottom is flat. You can buy the 5010 series on Amazon. Information about Graftech can be found on the company's website.

This neck has 22 frets. What is its scale length? How does it fit a 21 scale body if it has an overlap on the end?

There is no difference in the length of the Strat or Tele necks. There is no difference between a 21 fret or 22 fret scale on the 5" scale. There is a slight overhang on the 22 fret necks.

What will the effect be of using staggered pickups made to the specifications of vintage guitars on the output and tone of this neck with a 12" radius?

This neck was used on a build I did for a Strat. Using the pickup height, I was able to achieve the tone and output I was looking for. If you would like to adjust the saddles to the radius of your neck, adjust them.

You need to be able to file nuts if you want to do this well
4/5

purchased a few Fender guitar necks on Amazon to see what kind of quality they had (or did not have). All of them are made in Mexico and the only thing you need to worry about is the rips The maple ones (maple neck + maple fingerboard) were much nicer than the roasted maple + Pao Ferro fretboard ones. I have no idea why, but the fret ends of the guitar sound like they're going to come apart It was really nice to eat the roasted maple necks (which are way cheaper than the Pao Ferro, BTW). The folks making the Pao Ferro may not give a damn about the environment, but that certainly seems to be the case. Perhaps I'm being harsh, but that is mainly because the policy was in place only after a while There was nothing more beautiful than a maple neck. I'd give this five stars for craftsmanship, on par with standard necks in the USA but without the rolled edges, but give it four for the box design. Those who want to do it themselves will need to file their own string slots, which isn't If you want you can also buy necks from finished guitars for the same price, and in most cases, all you have to do is bolt them on and you're set.

Despite its quality, the piece is rather expensive
4/5

As a result of a warehouse return, I was able to get it for less than the current price of $299- Despite being advertised as "Like New," it probably should have been rated one step lower, as "Very Good," as it had some wear from the previous customer's installation and was missing a This neck stands out from the rest of my Fender Strats due to the lovely wood detailing and finish. Pictures do not really do it justice. Aspects of gameplay- In terms of the fretboard finish, the glossy one feels that breaking it in might take a bit, but the density and resonance it gives back makes it worth the wait. There are now some Squier guitars that have roasted maple necks available from Fender It is probably possible to get a whole guitar with this neck already fitted for $100 more than the price of this neck alone. If you're really curious, I would suggest going that route to take a dip in roasted maple. The neck will fit and finish perfectly, ensuring long-term comfort. If you've already established you love this fit and finish, and have an old guitar that needs a new neck, then this is a worthwhile investment, if you plan to keep that guitar for a long time.

I would say it's great, but only if you know what you're getting into
4/5

If you do not file the nut right away, you'll need to do it later. Apparently the nut has pilot slots and you need to finish them. This is stated in the description of the item. It's not easy even when you have the right tools to cut around properly. Does this neck have a slotted one, could that be the one Fender used? You're probably right that for $300, they should have turned this nut. But it still remains that you will have to slot this nut yourself or have a luthier do it. * Brought to your attention is one thing. Unlike most nut and neck combinations, this one has a curved bottom and has a radius of 12". Preparing for an exam becomes more complicated It is difficult to work with slotted nuts. It has top radius nuts that have a 12" radius, but they are flat - It's 9 if it has a bottomed bottom and 9 if it has a curved bottom. A radius of 5" on the top. Therefore, you have to realize that you will have some work in front of you when you buy this, but the results are worth it. Despite having a couple of problems with the fret ends, it gets 4 stars from me. There were no sharp edges, just not perfectly smooth, and for the amount of money you're paying, you can't expect anything else If you have a slotted nut, you should get perfect fretwork at the very least.

It may be necessary to adjust the nut It means a lot to me! I own a MIM strat from 2018 that I really I thought it would be cool to upgrade the neck to make this guitar even better
3/5

There is a nice satin finish on the rear of the neck. There is only one complaint with this neck, namely the unbelievably high nut. It almost makes you feel like you're playing slide guitar. You may have to remove the nut and sand down the backside several millimeters if you order. MIM is the guitar's manufacturer, so both this neck and the guitar follow.

However, it is not without its flaws! Despite its poor quality, the neck I got from my supplier was excellent
3/5

There were no sprouts on the neck, the frets were level, the surface was finished, everything was perfect. . . but it's not the neck I ordered! Although Roasted was ordered, there was only Maple in the box (not Roasted).
I'm not sure where the problem came from, but it was a different part than I This is why I am not able to give a true review. I will return to Fender and order again.

I love the way it feels
4/5

The neck profile of this neck is great for fast playing. I put it on my American Special Strat
. Besides looking gorgeous, it feels great It arrived in good condition. It's super high on the Nut. That's the only thing I don't like. Having the first fret so high seems excessive.

I have never had a neck that is better tone-wise than warmoth
4/5

It is not as good as the American Deluxe neck that I acquired, but it is I knew I was going to have to cut the nut since it was so tall, that's why I gave it 4 stars. Warmth is better than the neck in terms of resonance. That is what I used to have on the body. This looks great as well. If I had to rate it, I would give it 4 1/2 stars. I would highly recommend this product.

I have returned the message

These are two of the orders I placed. The two have been returned. I really like the neck you have. Both first ones were poorly handled and had a huge unfinished nut. If they charged $300 for an instrument, you'd expect them to set the nut to the correct size! GuitarCenter will be my source of purchase. Both prices are the same.
