Questions & Answers
This is a vintage style telecaster that I recently constructed (from parts). With no concerns for my part, I installed the maple neck into the vintage style body without any issues. For the action to be as close as I liked, I had to place shims at the neck joint. In addition, I had to trim the edges of the shims since they appeared a little protruding. As for me, the neck is perfect and I am very pleased with it. I love its beauty and how it feels and sounds! Additionally I also installed a Strat Roasted neck on my Strat VG without issues, and I am delighted with the results again. I'm not sure if there is a joint difference between vintage Strat necks and American Strat necks. The taller modern necks tend to have 22 frets instead of 21 frets on vintage Strats and other vintage guitars. Despite my confusion over the scale length, I don't know how long it is. My understanding of the neck joint remains unclear. It may be that someone else viewing this knows.
I am 25 years old.
Despite this, it still feels amazing.
