Questions & Answers
It is determined by the measurements. Yes, if it's the standard floyd size, give or take a few millimeters. Also, take note of the trem's design, as some have a square back, trapezoid, or other shape.
You'll need a router and a drill for this project.
It all depends on how it's set up. The bridge is floating if a cavity has been routed or removed from the guitar body beneath it. Floating implies that the bridge is a tremelo system that can dive bomb, loosen the strings, and tighten the strings to raise pitch. It's a set bridge that can only do dive bombs if there isn't a cavity under it. The set bridge has an advantage over the floating system in terms of tuning and tuning stability.
Most of the time, I don't redrill, I just file the sides until I can stick the new post in; however, measure the trem stud to stud and see if it lines up with the specs of this product. I hope this information is useful.

What to consider is this - I have spent a great deal of time searching for what I see everywhere, including at some stores that will not show the validity of your license, the bridge they use is not the one you see, this bridge is made of zinc saddles, not the bad.
It slid into my guitar and took the place of a broken FR. I was even able to reuse the existing pivot posts, which made installation a breeze. The strings and springs were installed by me. That's right, there's nothing to worry about. That's when I realized that turning the fine tuners without pliers is nearly impossible! It is possible to turn all five with just your fingers, but it will hurt your fingers. The one that's left is simply too rigid. Anyone who owns a FR trem knows that it requires a locking nut, so fine tuners are essential. So bring a hex key or a pair of pliers with you. I'm trying to figure out if providing fine tuners like that is acceptable.
This was purchased to replace the locking bridge on a cheap old super strat brought in by someone who did not want to spend more than the guitar was worth. I took a chance on this and was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the construction and the longevity of the product. On midrange guitars, this is similar to licensed Floyds. The missing posts, locking nut assembly, hex key, and a few screws are what docks it. While I didn't require these components, it would have been preferable to avoid reusing the old posts, which are in poor condition. I'd still recommend it as a replacement, but keep in mind that you might not get every part shown or detailed.
There is no indication that the item is made of steel, and no part of the item is made of steel. To make matters worse, after only 5 minutes of use, the tremelo's arm broke off. I'm not sure if my item was defective or if all items have weak solder points, but mine failed in less than a day. I got my money back. Aside from that, the bridge is attractive (though not steel), and it held tune (when it worked!).
I didn't even manage to get a nut. Purchase is not recommended. I had to order the nut and wait for it to arrive before I could finish the installation.
The cheap licensed floyd on my Washburn N2 was replaced with this double locking tremolo. This one appears to be of higher quality, fits correctly, and the fine tuners function properly! Holds a tune and appears to be of good quality, especially considering the low cost.
Tremolo does not stay put like a Floyd, but rather swings around like a strat. Other than that, everything is fine.
For tremelo plus springs, the depth is insufficient. Furthermore, due to the clip, the tremelo will not attach. This item won't fit on a Stratocaster without a lot of work. It's as if it's a Lespaul's mane. Junk.
