How Our Score Is Calculated

Product Description

With the leading humidity control system around the world, your wood instruments will have the perfect humidity balance, whatever their surrounding conditions may be
Boveda perfectly maintains a relative humidity (RH) of 45% - 55% in order to prevent rotting and cracking. Most climates with a three or four season period will benefit from this product. (High-absorbency Boveda is available for climates prone to high humidity.
This is an easy to use program! There will be no more adding water to sponges, foams, hoses, or nozzles. The Boveda device is simply handled through its protective fabric holders (sold separately), placed inside the case, and then the case is kept shut whether or not the device is inside the case.
This can last up to 6 months depending on the instrument case, the time of year, and the climate. Replacing rigid objects will prevent further deterioration. Sealing natural salts and pure water in a leakproof membrane keeps the contents fresh. Boveda remains fresh for up to two years if it is unopened

Questions & Answers

The question was asked, but the answer was not provided by Boveda I have another answer for you Which kind of paks comes in this? Are they 8 g or 60 g paks? Please be specific. ?

There is only one sized pack we make for guitar maintenance, the large 60g pack. They have a moisture content of 70 grams, despite the label. The 8 gram packs which are approximately 2 inches square would be completely inept for the maintenance of a guitar and case, which require approximately 600 grams of water to achieve Thanks a lot

Do I have the option of running them on the Planet Waves system since the two are made by the same company?

As long as the envelope is the same size, it should work unless Planet waves has made a change to it. I think there are 3 of them. A piece of paper 5 inches by

In order to use these, do you need another product?

It's just as simple as putting the packet in the guitar case and checking it every week to see if the package has dried or dried up (solidified). When the ice starts to solidify, it's time to replace it.

Is this a good option for use in a growing room to help control humidity? Or are these only good ?

A small package like this is used mostly in instruments and small cigar humidifiers. If you want a room to be humidified, you'll need many packages. The best way to keep your rooms moist is to buy a humidifier.

Boveda 2- won't be appropriate if you are concerned about the condition of your guitar From Amazon, you can purchase Hunidification Paks
3/5

In order to maintain an Rh of around 49 - 50, I use these In my $2000, there is 51% humidity. This Taylor Guitar is priced at $600 plus. In order to maintain a certain range of relative humidity, it is essential to remember these points. In the past, I have had good experiences using a different brand name. Although I have heard about Boveda through the community of musicians, I thought I would give it a try. I've had these for more than a year and they've NOT kept my guitar in the recommended range, says the package, at 49% Guaranteed but they've raised the RH to a guitar damaging range of 55-6,000 60 percent. As a result, I keep two humidistats in my guitar case to keep an eye on the RH level. moment, I have removed the Bovada package from my guitar case because I am concerned that my guitar will be damaged over time. As a result of the improper Rh control resulting from the misrepresentation of the product package, I had to place the guitar in a separate Rh controlled room so as not to I'll never buy another item from Amazon ever again after my experience with this item. A deterioration in quality control has been reported at Amazon. Quite disappointed with Douglas Piper, I'll chalk this up to another hard-learned lesson in life. Sadly, you're right. Returning isn't worth the bother, as it's not worth jumping through hoops to return an item.

I strongly suggest you don't purchase these if you love your guitar
3/5

RUST DAMAGINGLY DAMAGES THE CONSTRUCTION! As a musician, I have always been focused on maintaining my guitars in the best environment possible. So, I decided to go an extra step with something supposedly more accurate than just my insulated music room, which I attempt to maintain between 45 and 50 degrees. A fifth of the population is human. Having read reviews and directions, I thought it was foolproof. In my case, I put 7 of these in different cases with guitars, hoping it would help maintain a constant temperature. I checked them after a couple weeks and everyone seemed to be doing well, After a period of 5 weeks, all the packages were soaked with water, and the strings were rusted. STRAT WILKENSON BRIDGE BROKE MY PERFECT WARMOTH STRAT! WEAR SCREWS AND PICK THEM UP! The following is a picture (see inset). I also have my 72 reissue thinline Deluxe. TRASH! WE DO NOT NEED THIS PRODUCT! This is not for all guitar lovers - stay away from it if you love yours as much as I do!.

Ineffective
3/5

This 2-way split is marginally effective. Both the D'Addario two-way humidification system and the humidification system by Philips work in exactly the same way There are three ways to do things. D'Addario makes both products, so it's not surprising that they are made by the same company. It is recommended that these humidipaks keep your guitar at a relative humidity of 45% - 50% As recommended by almost all guitar makers, 49% is a good number. Although they were supposed to increase humidity in my guitar cases, I was never able to get it higher than 40% in my room maintained at 36% RH year-round. The case will require 3 humidipaks (1 in the body, 2 in the headstock cavity) to hold 3 humidipaks in total. The cases have been in ABS molded cases, wood molded cases, spongy gig bags, and hard foam molded The humidipaks perform better and last longer in molded ABS cases. That does not come as a surprise considering we know that ABS cases are It's for this reason that humidifiers that essentially lock water inside an airtight container should not be used continuously (e. g. H humidifiers based on sponge). According to my experiences, these systems can result in a relative humidity inside a guitar case of up to 70%. Another problem is that humidipaks gradually harden as they process water and lose efficacy in a linear fashion as they process water. Is it always necessary to replace an old pack after a certain amount of time? My bones become pretty rigid about 3 months after the surgery. As a result, we would use 3 humidipaks per case for a total of $4 - $5. The annual cost of this humidification system can be as high as $100 per guitar at $8 per humidipak. This is an insane amount of money to spend on a product with limited effectiveness.

Two Martin guitar cases of the same brand did not fit these
3/5

Using Factory TKL cases with two Martin guitars with 49% off packs of 10 was a great deal for me. The humidity in the cases was 61% at all times. I did not have a drop in humidity levels during the four weeks of using individual packets in two of the cloth carriers. As a result of my contact with Boveda, they informed me that I needed the 49% HA version. These are the ones I purchased from their home page. They lowered my humidity to 58 percent There is no comparison between 59% and 49% humidity. A second call was requested and I was asked to leave two more messages There are 6 units in each case, making up a total of 12 units. Despite the change in humidity, it remained constant. Bolveda was a pleasure to deal with, but they blamed the cases for their poor performance. A brand new case is included. It took them four months to work this out but they didn't. I was pleased to get my money back and they were pleasant to deal with.

It is possible to use these as guitar humidifiers when the instrument is stored in a One of my friends told me to try these instead of Daddario version after I kept spending too much money on it
5/5

During the summer, these use more humidity, which keeps the temperature at a constant 50 to 60 degrees. Among the two solid Martins and two one-off Les Pauls that I have, the one that needs moist environment is the solid Martin. There are a lot of times when the humidity reaches 10% where I live. A flute of that quality will crack the top of an acoustic guitar. You won't have any problems if your acoustics are all plywood. It is generally true that these are great and work for months before they become hard. Replace with a new one and discard the old one. A great value for keeping guitars worth more than a thousand dollars in good condition.

This is a bit too big
4/5

Daddario Humidipak's are made by the company who makes the Daddario humidifiers. *The Boveda product appears to be the same size, but in actuality it is slightly longer and wider than the humid opal product. *This pack is 49% humid whereas the humid opal product is 45% humid. It must have been designed this way on purpose to make it difficult to put these packs into the sleeves with the Humidipak product. The savings aren't worth the cost difference. Even though they are a little less expensive, I don't think it's As for products for humidifying my guitars, I enjoy using them because they are both highly effective and not As a result of its size, I will not buy another one. I assume this was their plan all along. As soon as I find out if Boveda sells pouches for these packs, I will let you know. The price may be reasonable enough for me to.
