A different location is used for the "screw holes" in the pickguard. You may find that the holes on the replacement pickguard does not match the holes in the original pickguard. Also different can be the behavior of the American and Mexican basses.
am not sure what to do. The Stedman Pro Jazz Bass guitar I own is a Stedman Pro Jazz Bass. If you file down the edges, you can get it to fit perfectly.
I imagine you'll have to redrill a few holes for the screws, but I am fairly sure that it will fit around the neck pocket and control plate. It seems as though this pickguard was made in America, as it has a truss rod cut out at the base of the neck. My custom build did not require precise hole alignment, so I did not worry about it. You can be assured that this is a beautifully made guard that is well worth However, screws are garbage, so don't use them.
Using a MIM Jazz, I put it on. My file was a little rough on it because it didn't fit perfectly. It may help to know that.

Great for the money, especially if you're on a budget. This pickguard fit perfectly on my MIM Standard (however, seeing as my Jazz already had extra pickguard holes from a previous owner, I'm unsure if it would work on one without any modifications). In my case, the Jazz comes in black and I ordered the three-pack This pickguard has a black layer on both sides, which I believe gives it an amazing The finish is not the best as I tend to play slap style and I've noticed that it's not nearly as sturdy as it could be. My pickguard has only been on my guitar for a few weeks, and I've already noticed that the outer layer is rubbing off on the spots where my fingernail makes contact with the pickguard when I'm digging under one of the strings. This might be an issue, so switching to a higher quality guard or a single ply may be easier because you won't see any white underlay. Honestly, I don't mind at all. It looks cool, almost as if the relics had been accelerated until their present state - As long as it looks good now, I can always replace it again if it starts looking bad.
I couldn't put it on the neck or pickup. I used the original pick guard as a template to dremel back the points causing the clearance issues. So it fits now like a glove. There are also problems with the alignment of the screw holes. There is no reason for the crooked trimming. It can be seen (from each other) that they are pointing in different directions. I can't make my attempt look good even if I tried. As a side note, I noticed there are two layers of adhesive protective film covering However, even with both removed, the picture still doesn't look so good. It was a bad idea to do this. I'm going to proceed with the original pickguard. A cheap part. There's no reason to use this.
Despite the fact that it overlapping the chrome control plate slightly, it seated correctly when I backed out the screws. I just wanted to let you know The pick guard was shipped with a protective film, and I noticed that the finish was still a bit dull after it was removed. I eventually found out that there was a second layer of the film and once it was removed, everything seemed to work fine. I was extremely happy with how the finish turned out. There could have been a 1-2-3 or something similar to that It would be equally offensive if every single one of them did that.
The neck pickup hole on my Jazz bass was too small to fit the MIM Jazz pickup. I had to modify it.
The body from a Squier Affinity Jazz Bass was being used for a custom project. However, I should have read that the Fender Jazz Bass pickguard is a different size from the one on I accepted this pickguard as a decent bargain for the price, but the holes didn't quite match my bass and the color was much light than I.
It was the right fit for me. It's the best Jazz Bass I have ever heard! I am in love with There is no way this will fit a Squire JB, so do not.
The one I have is perfect for me!.
I had to shave it down because it wasn't an exact fit. The guitar I play is a standard Fender Jazz 2006. The plate looks good, but it took a while for it to.
