As far as I know, I bought this pick guard for an original 1973 precision bass with 3 more screw holes than this pick guard does. However, the three extra screw holes on this pick guard are simply covered by the pick guard when it is There is no guarantee that it will fit other models. As for the screw orientation, I would just look at them to determine if they look right
I found it to be the same model and origin as mine.
As a black person, I am partial to it. The pick guard I purchased was for my Made in Mexico 50's Classic P- guitar This is bass. This is a great pick guard, but it has more holes than the original 50's classic pick guard so I added two On the AMER, you can see the screw holes. The U.S. Standard and the Mexican Standard. The two terms refer to the same thing.
The bass must match the American Precision Standard in order to work properly. It will not work with other basses.

I love the way this fit, nice and tight around the pickups, but not too tightly. From start to finish, it took me ten minutes. The strings did not even need to be removed. There is one peculiar quality that I liked although it is weird it has a kind of black matte finish that almost feels like sticky wax paper. I figured it might be a thin protective cover made of plastic, but it does not seem to want to be pulled A few little scratches were also on it when it was delivered. I left them on because I wanted the bass blacked out and matte versus reflective was more to my liking. In addition, the sticky surface makes it a little easier for me to grip when using my thumb to brace myself. This is probably a flim that I need to peel off, but it looks great nonetheless There is no way to The following applies to The box in which the guitar was shipped is about 2 inches thicker than the Fender packaging, so it wasn't scratched during shipment.
The quality of this pickguard is excellent. Thanks for letting me replace the original white pickup with this one. The previous owner had left it on too long and left a sticker The one I used before had a tan line. This one is black and looks great next to my black precision! This pickguard is more appealing to me than the white one.
I bought this for my Mexican Fender Precision Bass and thought for about a week that I had made the wrong choice since it appeared to have a scratched up matte finish rather than a smooth shiny As a result, I opted to peel off a thin plastic coating that was located very well hidden, almost invisible, to reveal the true pickguard. I installed it without a problem Remove the plastic only after you peel it off. Some bass guitars, however, have a truss rod hole situated near the body at the base of the fretboard. Unlike my bass which has the truss rod hole above the fretboard (which is the case with other basses), mine has the hole near the head/tuning pegs. A small half-size hole is visible on the pickguard Create a circle by cutting it out To allow for the presence of a truss rod hole near the body, a truss rod hole was cut out at the top. I am not a fan of this little notch on my bass because it leaves an absolutely tiny part If you want to buy a wind instrument, please make sure the shape of your instrument is as good as possible.
Three of the eight will fit perfectly, four can go in crooked, but seven will need some other arrangement. I should point out that no screws are included.
There are a lot of Silvertones out there That is a bass I like to look at and that is also fun to play. Despite being cheap, it's still not worth it. A flat black guard was included in the package, but I wanted to replace it with this single-ply pick. With this Fender Pbass pick guard, the Silvertone really stands out! It's amazingly better than I thought it would be! There were a few screw holes that weren't lined up, but it fit really well considering it is a different brand. Nice!
I added some SD quarterpounders as well, so it sounds just Thank you! )

I used this item to save the life of an old P who needed it during a Base revival. The star of the show now has the look to go with that in your face punch that rattles the innards, like the inertial stomach flip that you used to get if you drove a '64 Chevy Impala on a Friday night out, popping hill tops. Don't let your base die. Give it some life.
The actual Fender part was just as I expected. A little trimming will go a long way toward making it fit on a Squire P bass. The original guard can be removed and the new one can be attached, then the screws can be put through the holes for proper alignment, and the position can be held with tape or clamps. You will need to file or cut whatever.
