Questions & Answers

What is the fit of this pickguard on the Fender Steve Harris P bass?

On this pick guard there is a semilunar cut out to access the truss rod. The Steve Harris P Bass does not have the truss rod access at the neck/body joining point, so there would be an area of exposed body where this cutout For a better understanding of how these work, see some of the pictures of other pickguards. If you want it to be exact, it would be a problem, but I wouldn't worry about it in the first place. It is a three-ply pickguard, which otherwise looks very nice.

How does this fit a Squier by Fender 4 string vintage modified precision bass?

Please note that there are differences between Fender and Squire products in regards to hole spacing. There is a good chance that this pickguard will not fit exactly. **We are grateful for your support

The Midnight Blue Precision Standard looks very good on this
5/5

Additionally, it is a perfect fit since it is a direct replacement - It has a perfect fit at the screw and at the neck. As it is common to have to fill a few holes (wood glue and a toothpick work well, let it dry, and then trim it off flush with a sharp knife) and reinstall, that was a pleasant surprise. You will need to drill one or two holes to secure the screw. I do not think it is possible to open the pickup cover. I had removed the pickups and filled mounting screw holes prior to doing refinish work on the body, so when mounting the pick guard, I squeezed the pickups in a bit high, and then added the pick up screws after the pick guard was fully mounted and the bass was Afterward, all I had to do was lower them until they were at When the weatherstrip foam is stacked well underneath, it is possible to raise the panels by removing the pick guard screws. *The pack guard shields the pickup / control route over the entire length of the vehicle, not just the control cavity as with allparts.

Both are very similar, but they are not the same! The P/N 099-I ordered was actually ordered Item number 2160 I ordered a '000 and got a '099' instead The year 2176 A P/N 2160- is needed at the point where the Scratch Guard meets the Fretboard, the OD looked the same as the OD, 000 The notch present on the P/N 2176-000 does not exist on the 00000 A coldsore appears in a thousand, barely visible, but to the keen eye, it is hardly noticeable
3/5

I would definitely recommend it, not just for the fit but also for the look! The seller should pay more attention to the order specifications in the first place, I was very particular when looking for the product and made special care when choosing the right P/N for that same reason.

In the event that you do not want the notch, do not buy
3/5

I am not the only person to receive this with the notch that most people receive, so do not order this if you do not want the truss rod notch. They say it does not have it, but it does.

The colors are beautiful, and the instrument fits perfectly on my old parts caster bass from 1962.

Exactly what I was looking for
5/5

I was able to use my P bass perfectly. Hole in the neck of the boat for truss rods made in America. That's fine, mine is mij, and I don't need to do that. However, I do not have an issue with it.
