In my Cedar Top Takamine, I wanted to lower the action at the upper frets since I enjoy playing solos on acoustic guitar up there. The action was a bit high for my taste. have purchased the bridge blanks, and I am very pleased with them. The blanks are raw, so keep that in mind. As you work with them, you have to fit them to your needs. My original guitar was removed, but I made a small pencil mark on it to indicate which side was going to be on Low E, so I wouldn't accidentally get it backwards. My next step was to trace the outline using a pencil on the blank. It was too long so I had to cut it down lengthwise. My next step was to use a bench grinder to close the gap between the pencil mark and the router. In order to recreate the exact shape and contour of the original, I used 150 grit sandpaper. In order to make the strings lower, I continued to remove another 1mm from the bottom. I couldn't just let it go at that. A 2 mm thickness was used for the blanks. The measurement I made with my calipers was 9mm. There were two Takamines in the original. A 65mm lens. Honestly, this was the most difficult part. Once again, I had to lay the board flat and sand every side carefully until there were two layers. A 65mm lens. It is cumbersome as it is hard to grip, and it is thin as well. As soon as I had done this, I installed it, and it worked flawlessly! My favorite part about this project is that I did it myself and it turned out so fantastic. It sounds like a blues dream when the Tak is strung with Stainless Monel strings! So don't be afraid to take the risk if you have the gumption! Be mindful that it will require some diligence on your part. Don't jump the gun. I am very happy with the results. I highly recommend this book!.
The blanks measure as described and are in fantastic They are both excellent in every aspect, and their price is astounding. There are times when you get something that isn't quite up to your standards when you do this a lot. Please do not use these! The update will be posted when the The bone from Buffalo may have made a difference, though I don't know for sure. I must point out that! I was so impressed by how easy these were to use. As I was fitting the third time, I wasn't even using a jig ( I do not recommend this for novice users). They polish just like gems, and they take to filing extremely well. It is impossible for me to say enough positive things about these parts and the brand "Music One". "HIGHLY RECOMMEND"! I will shop at this outlet again and will continue to buy from them in the future! I want to thank Music One for being a righteous manufacturer for me and other people like me who do this sort of work.
Although it's probably a decent value, especially for the price, I was surprised by how rough and dirty the product was. The bones are cut into blanks, as follows In addition, it probably didn't help that all 6 were crammed into a small plastic bag, where they could rub against one another. I’ll see how my first saddle turns out once I sand it, cut it, and shape The material should be enough to get rid of the variations and holes.
My plan was to make a nut for my 12 string electric guitar using these bone blanks. About 1/4 inch by 1/2 inch by 2 inches is the size of these blanks. In fact, my guitar nut measured about 3/16 inch by 1 7/8 inch by 1/8 Because of this, I had to remove a LOT of material in order to get it down to size. But it is all good! You will have plenty of material to make your guitar nut from the blanks. It is my experience that these bone nuts are of very high quality, and they are a very good price considering how many you get for a very reasonable price. Aside from the time you need to use and the stress of doing a proper job on it, the price of these blanks together is MUCH CHEAPER than the price of buying 1 ready-made. Bone or other similar material can be used to create one.
Because of other reviews depicting broken pieces, I was worried. During my stay, I did not encounter any I was pleased with how smoothly and precisely each piece was Even though I have never shaped my own bridge and nut before, I was able to use a Dremel tool and sand paper. The sandpaper provided would not have been sufficient since I had to remove a lot of material (it's a ukulele) and I want the action low. If you are new to this as I am, I would give you a heads up about it being so unpredictable like that. I am sure a luthier could have done a better job, but I was able to get some improvement in intonation out of my ukulele for a small price, so I am completely satisfied with this purchase and would buy it.
The story of my This saddle was a free upgrade with the 45 Studio, which came with a tusq saddle. This appears to be a very good product. A consistent color scheme is used. It is only because they aren't oversized enough that I have a problem. This thin film has a thickness of just under 3 mils. With a length of 0mm, there was plenty of extra room, but the height was just barely sufficient. It is pretty difficult to adjust either the thickness or the height since they are both fixed. I don't know. In order for this product to work, it had to be very careful not to make an extra stroke on the height. It worked, and it worked well, but rather than working it down to the size I wanted, I had to be careful not to make any extra strokes on it. However, on a positive note, it did fit and the price is reasonable and the quality is excellent.
The current thickness is not sufficient for working. I received these very quickly, and they were in good shape when they arrived. Though they appeared to be solid and cleanly cut, the saddle blanks were much too thin for classical guitars, even though they were advertised as at least 3mm thick. It is important that you measure your saddle accurately. Despite the fact that the saddle slot on my classical guitar measures 3mm, these blanks wiggled in it. With full contact on the bridge, these are ineffective for my guitar. Despite the small difference of less than a millimeter, these are basically useless. It would have been nice if these had a thick enough layer to sand down for a custom fit, but don't expect these to even have a hair over 3mm thickness. All in all, they seemed.
To be used as the nut in a THREE STRING CIGAR BOX GUITAR BUILD, these are great. While they are not the traditional actual bolt, they will keep your guitar in tune because they can easily be cut and notched. When selling an artwork, a great deal of attention must be paid to its condition. The blanks I found a long time ago would have been useful to me! My recommendation for a cheap solution that will save a lot of headaches from trial and error when building cigar box guitars. Item was as described by the seller, came on time and I ate it as advertised.
