Thanks for your question. Hello and happy new year to you. The 512 tuning fork has a ring time of about 20 seconds and is manufactured in India. It is our hope that this will be helpful. Science Stuff, Inc. Delivers excellent customer care to all its customers.
To be honest, I'm not certain what MHz means. As a result it is very lightweight, and does the job expected of it. It was fine. You have to hit it on a hard surface to get a vibration, and then you can do it.

It has a strong construction and is lightweight since it is When you hit it with your knee to do a Weber's or Rinne's test, you can hear the "512 Hertz puretone" of the alloy as well as the aluminum's resonance. Normally, I mitigate this by either wearing rubber boots or wearing rubber gloves It would be better to band the base where the fork splits to reduce the resonance of the aluminum (kinda tacky) or simply hold the split in my fingers until only the pure tone is audible. Although this is only a minor inconvenience, it is likely due to the aluminum used for the fork and not necessarily the craftsmanship of it. Furthermore, to perform the Weber or Rinne tests, you must firmly apply the tuning forks to the corresponding parts of the skull otherwise, the patient will experience discomfort. I have seen expensive tuning forks with bases, which may provide a more comfortable experience for the patient? Since this is my first tuning fork, I don't know whether it is normal or not On the whole, I am satisfied with how well made and how reasonable the price is.
As well as the Weber-Rinne tests, it works well for sensory testing. Vibrations can be produced just by rubbing the stem against the other hand. It feels comfortable to hold and creates a high level of amplitude without dampening A better design would be rounded edges and ends instead of sharp tips, as this would be a lot more comfortable for the skin (and it hurts if you hit your hand on the tip when you reach into If I had my choice, I would choose a smaller model. This is why I do not carry it in my coat, but it's nice to have on hand if I need to perform these kinds of tests at any time.
This product is not suitable for medical use. There are weights at the top of each prong, as can be seen in the picture. I got a grip on one of these weights with my fork and was able to slide it directly The prong is now asymmetrically positioned after I tried slipping it back onto the prong. That makes it look ugly, and I assume that it affects its performance as well
I was going to use the fork for a vibration sensitivity test on feet (I'm in health care). However, the vibration produced by this fork is so mild and unsatisfying that I didn't find it satisfactory for this task.
dont understand how people could get away with such a thing, but this is the best tuning forks in terms of sound and feel. We need to rely on the quality if we are buying this for medical reasons like I am. Having received my package today, I am very happy with how like new it is.
My first use of this device, I was able to achieve perfect air conduction and bone conduction in both ears. Having a clinical finding has shown that it is worth it and works correctly for the first patient. It is accurate.
As a psychiatric nurse practitioner student, I did not want to buy expensive tools for my required rotation in primary care. I found the item to be of great use, and the price was a great value. It was much better than hers for our final exam and one of my classmates used it.
This tuning fork made my physical therapist recommend them as a way to calm my nerves! Actually, I already have an addiction to these things and use them as often as I can. There is a calm feeling of serenity created by them. I highly recommend them if you have a tendency to lose your temper from time to time. Like me, you might find this useful often!.
It was recommended by my professor that I purchase the 256 Hz tuning fork as a first year medical student. We bought the 128 Hz fork, but a few weeks later, she sent an email saying she had made a mistake and we should buy it Seeing that this was an Amazon product, I figured that it would not be too difficult to return it. I didn't find any information about the return policy in the item description, either, so I am very disappointed about the lack of transparency. The item description page didn't mention anything about returns, either, so I can't return the item. My tuning fork will never be used now that I have it.
