The best book for teens who want to learn how to play guitar quickly
5/5

This is by far the best guitar method book I've ever seen. For the past 20 years, I've been playing guitar with a mixture of self-taught and professional techniques. I've taught classes and lessons and now I'm passing on my knowledge to others. Traditional methods are always frustrating because they spend so much time on topics that kids, teens, and impatient adults find "boring" (such as theory, single note practice segments that don't make up a "song," or simple outdated songs that younger generations are completely unfamiliar with). People want to be able to say they're learning guitar and to be able to practice playing songs they like. Musicians, on the other hand, understand that all of the "fun" stuff is necessary for playing and reading music well. This is expertly addressed by Ernie Ball, who divides the book into solo notes and chords, as well as more relevant practice segments and progressions. It enables me to assign "boring" material in conjunction with learning simple chord songs, allowing people to learn to play quickly and remain engaged while honing their skills and expanding their knowledge of theory. Another problem with traditional methods is that they tend to target either beginner adults (using language geared toward adults with higher reading comprehension and vocabulary, a strong focus on theory, and few pictures) or young children (using simple "kiddy" songs and concepts). Ernie Ball fills in the gaps by presenting simple concepts that aren't written in a condescendingly juvenile or overwhelmingly boring manner. They also have comics that are suitable and relevant for all ages. ages. It's the only book that has kept the interest of teenagers who have no prior musical experience.

Outstanding
5/5

A must-have. This book, along with the second volume, was given to me over 20 years ago. I was playing and composing songs in less than a week. I was self-taught because I never had a teacher. It all began with this book! One advantage of being self-taught is that I was able to learn the music (gospel) that I wanted to learn, rather than music that I would never use.
Note: Anyone who wants to learn to play a musical instrument must have the desire to do so. That's something you can't learn from anyone. When you strumming those strings and the hum that resinates in your body, your music seems to flow, and it has helped me through many low points in my life. It's a one-of-a-kind experience. And this is a comic book, not a book with a lot of words or boring pictures. This is where it all begins!.

This is a great place to start
4/5

A good introduction to the guitar for those who are just starting out. Not for classical guitar, as it isn't very detailed or comprehensive. A good place to start if you don't know what to play.

Beginners will enjoy this game
5/5

This is the same book I used to learn to play guitar when I was a kid, and it's the same book I gave to my stepson. It's simple to read and comprehend, and it does a fantastic job of teaching everything from the fundamentals to notes and chords. This book, as well as the more advanced companion book, comes highly recommended from me.

As a former student who was left on my own by a deceased brother/teacher many years ago, I found information in this book that would be very useful to a beginner picker as well as an advanced picker who is critical of their bad habits
5/5

The lessons are simple to comprehend, and I have already passed them on to my lovely 18-year-old daughter. granddaughter, who is ten years old.

This is an outstanding book
5/5

I had only recently begun learning the guitar when my teacher suggested that I purchase this book. It's fantastic! The book covers a wide range of topics, including playing speed, chord progression, and music theory in general. The book also explains things clearly and makes it simple to pick up new information quickly. This is a fantastic book that I would recommend to anyone.

Tab paper that is good
4/5

There's just enough space between the lines for tab to be easily written out. I like to make copies of what I do because I teach guitar to multiple students and don't want to have to rewrite a whole page of tab. The issue that irritates me is that every sheet in the book has the word "TAB" printed large and boldly on it. Without the redundancy, we can assume that they're all tab sheets. My printer would run out of black ink in no time if I didn't take the extra step of covering that word up, and I never write tab out on both sides of the tab sheet. Printing on only one side could result in significant cost savings or more pages, depending on your needs.
