This is what I've been using on a vintage Gibson - The mandolin consists of a hole and an archtop. There is an arch in it.

Frank Ford explains how I used his technique in his book. To scallop the underside of the bridge, I used a technique that Frank Ford demonstrates on his website. This makes the sanding process much quicker. Taking it out of the package took about 15 minutes. To give you a sense of how it started, the middle and the ends were touching, and the ends were over 1mm below the top. After it puts the strings about 1, it puts the loop back to the beginning. There are 5mm fewer nails in the new bridge than in the old. In fact, this is something to be applauded. It would have been better for me to take a little less action. Since I moved the saddle up a few posts from when it was slammed to the bottom, now the saddle is positioned slightly higher on the posts. My favorite part of the "blind" posts is the description. It used to be that the post holes for my old bridge went through the saddles. I like the fact that this one does not have cracks like my old one.
As a first step, I held off trying to replace my cracked bridge for nearly two years after I received this letter. It was clear that I would have to do quite a bit of shaping and smoothing to get this to conform to the curve It took me until now to bite the bullet and try it out.
At first I removed the saddle and set the footing up against the cracked bridge just as it was. To my amazement, there was nearly no gap in the center, but there was only a tiny gap along the side. The gap had already disappeared, but I figured that once the bridge was in place and the strings tightened the gap would disappear as well.
I bought it becasue I needed to replace the bridge on it. Very pleased with the quality of the bridge. The mandolin sounds and plays a lot better after I fitted the bridge to the top and got it dialed in. In order to perform a proper bridge replacement or upgrade on a mandolin, you need to ensure the base of the bridge fits the top of the mandolin. This is an easy task to do there are many YouTube videos to demonstrate it. In general, I am very satisfied with it, and would consider purchasing another if I have to replace a bridge on another mandolin in the future.
In summary, the item was more than I expected and was well made I made it. I did not check the height well enough and had to adjust it a little bit lower so that it fits Don't make the same mistake as me don't miss the details. Make sure you measure twice before you order! Using my craftsy skills, I was able to modify and use the item after spending an hour doing so. I love the way this works!.
Almost looks like it was hand carved, with the strings' grooves separated from the main wood piece by a small piece of the carving. Plus, it appears it had been used before as the color on where it fits on the instrument is different from the rest.
It is a nice product. The measurements are accurate. Some areas of the bridge had rough surfaces, however, they have since been cleaned up. A bridge is required to connect the top to the mandolin. The work is not difficult, just take your time to do it right.
My expectations were fulfilled when I came across the bridge.
The price is right and the quality is very good.
