Questions & Answers

My grandson is 2 1/2 years old and loves music, singing, and pounding on things. Would this instrument make a good first instrument to give to ?

You should get him a brick or a chunk of wood if he enjoys banging on things. He destroyed a perfectly good practice pad, so why let him do that?

This drum is loud, how loud is it? Could you live in it in an apartment?

If I had to compare it to something, I might say it's as loud as tapping on a Pringles potato chip container with a pen. believe you will be able to live comfortably in an apartment. It is still on my to-do list when I move into my new condo next year.

What are the pros and cons of this product?

I like what I see. This is another thing you should practice, and it's much better than banging a drum all day. There are no problems with quality, the price is right, and you can replace the head.

How does this sound? Is it ?

It doesn't have the same reverb as a more traditional track. In my opinion, it is incredibly loud for a practice pad. When necessary, I use the percussion instrument as a performing instrument. The head feels almost exactly like a Remo snare head, but its size, shape, and weight aren't exactly like a Remo head Using too much material makes it sound like a Remo-style sound This is a snare with two heads.

Selected User Reviews For Remo RT-0006-00 6" Gray Tunable Practice Pad with Ambassador Coated Drumhead

I think this is the gold standard (at least according to me
5/5

) But it is The gold standard for practice pads was this one "back in the day. " (1980's). It is recommended to practice rudimental or orchestral snare with these types of drums. The gum rubber pads are more like a snare drum so you're able to practice playing softer dynamics closer to the rim of the drum. This gum rubber pad also includes a rim (most gum rubber pads do not), so you can practice playing on the rim while you play. There seems to be less impact on my wrists when using this than with my gum rubber pad, though I cannot prove that In my opinion, there is a greater cushion between your wrist and the hard surface below the "head". It will be easier to play with the brush if you have the version with coated heads. It has a tunable tension, so you can adjust the tension as needed. For the first time in 35 years, I had the Remo pad After a flood, the building was destroyed. As for my second, I'm about to embark on it. There is only one downside that I have observed Rubber gum pads make more noise than this. In addition to living in an apartment complex with lots of windows and neighbors, I like to practice at night as well. There are four types of pads, so I have one of each kind. Additionally, the clarity of the sound made by the Remo pad can help you clean up your technique since any sloppiness is easier to detect than it would be This pad still occupies my top spot for "gold standard" pads for practice, even if you don't necessarily need the quietest pad available.

I love this and it fits my needs perfectly! In a nutshell, Despite the fact that I am not a drummer, this fits my needs perfectly
5/5

Then I stopped playing drums, and I moved into an apartment and couldn't take my drums with me I let my passion for drums fade. I like Remo's reliability, and I think about this pad as perfect for helping me relearn how to play the drums again. I like Remo's practice pads, I feel like they will help me. Sturdy and durable, this practice pad will last for years. As far as I am concerned, I don't use it on a stand, only on the table. There is no slipping or moving of it. Having heard it, I really like it. My love for just being loud and hearing what I do makes me the type of drummer who loves to be heard. The surface also has a gritty feel to it. I like how the bounce is not too bouncy nor not too flat it's just right. I know Remo is not the top of the line when it comes to drum products, but this instrument is well built. Thank you so much! I'm very happy with the Please note Video uploaded is just to demonstrate the bounce and sound of what the practice pad sounds and feels like. The folly of my Grandfather
3/5

Two of these were acquired for my two grandchildren who were just beginning band, and their families were quickly becoming tired of wearing earplugs. A TUNEABLE SET OF PERCUSSION HEADS WERE SOLD ON THE MARKET, BUT I OPENED THEBOXES BEFORE I TOLD THE BEGINNING PERCUSSIONISTS THEY COULD TUNE THEM. In no way are any instructions included in the boxes. They are promoted as good for beginners, so instructions on not only how to use them, but also how to make use of the adjustable function, should be included. A CHILDREN'S BAND TEACHER had recommended them, but she had no idea how to obtain the instructions. The bottom line is that these are not able to be used by the uninitiated. I would appreciate if you could provide instructions, or to process a refund if instructions cannot be provided. Those items were sold by Amazon.

The pad is a great practice tool
5/5

My band room used to be full of Remo instruments. I remember seeing these all the time five This practice pad is what I got my son for a gift because he needed one. There is no silent mode in this This is not the rubber mat you will need if you're looking for quiet flooring. In this photo, he's using a pad on a table attached to a tripod for his camera, so necessity gave him the idea. I guess he's going to do whatever works for him. He is a great user, and I am pleased with him He also carries a handy portable practice kit, which includes a metronome and a pair of sticks.

Beautiful pad
5/5

I like it a lot. There are many great features to this pad. The purpose of a good pad is to make you feel like you're playing an actual snare drum when you play it. It is typically best to get a pad with ten inches of rubber on top if you want quiet. The feeling is pretty realistic as well. This guitar comes with a tuner that makes tuning it easy. The rebound has been great. This color is gorgeous. This is a very sturdy, long-lasting product. The first time I looked at it, I was scared it would be too small, but it wasn't. This is perfect. I will definitely get the next size up as well. My favorite part about this pad is how comfortable it is. Unlike high end pads, this isn't too expensive. The most expensive pad is at least fifty dollars. It gets the job done just fine. This is the pad to get if you're looking for a cheap Seeing this isn't saying anything at all, but I love how pretty it is. A little bit of reflection exists in the plastic head. And the black and red covers are solid and vivid. I have had it for a year and it still looks brand There aren't many scratches on the surface. The word "hole" should not be used. Doesn't seem to have forgotten its melody. I don't know what to say except that it's.

This is such a misunderstanding
5/5

Pad that can deliver accuracy with ease. Practice pads are not designed to reduce noise in a strict sense, but may also provide sound reflection. In some ways, they are like that, but their principal function is to accurately reflect the feel of a drum. A snare drum is an example. If you want the 'noise', maybe you are working on dynamics, or perhaps you want to find out what mistakes you made during the performance. Regardless of whether a pad is quieter or louder, you will not pick up all the subtleties of your playing because it dulls all the notes. To truly identify where you are, you need to see something that will not forgive you. A great pad to use for that purpose. As well as that, it is tunable so it can be used to simulate rack and floor toms. It is true that a quiet pad is desirable, and I have a few. My wife and I use them in the evenings while we are watching TV, or in the middle of the night when it is late at night and we can't make a lot of noise. I can put one on the bed in front of me and practice while we watch TV etc. Choosing the right tool for the job comes down to getting the right tool for the * NOTICE I purchased a Cannon stand specifically for it, and this pad mounted perfectly to it. Some reviews said it would not fit a standard cymbal stand.

I like it a lot, but it could be better
3/5

Considering what it is, it is good enough. Accuracy is improved. It costs two dollars to buy a Remo stand for this. A new pad costs five times what you pay for the original and you pretty much need it as the pad is very light, so the first investment is really $75 before you can begin to The pads you can get for under $75 are much better than those you can get for much more.
