Although you don't have to use a stand, it is better if you do. If you wanted to practice on a chair, you could rest the practice pad on your lap. You have to mount it on a snare drum stand in order to use this practice pad properly, because it allows you to sit comfortably (properly) and to adjust the height and angle easily. Therefore, I recommend getting a practice pad and a snare drum stand to increase your playing precision.
Just recently, I bought a 12 inch and have been playing the 6 inch for years. Having a 12 inch seat is the most convenient since it fits more easily in your lap, it works well with a typical snare stand, and just gives you more space to play. There is only one benefit I can see with a 6 inch screen It is easier to carry around.
It's a little better with the Firth pad. I consider it a shame, since RealFeel made the best pad in history (at least the best one I've ever played), but changed it about five or eight It's still possible to find the older pads on eBay. Personally, I would recommend the Firth or a Vater pad over this one if you're in the market for a new pad.

In the meantime, D'addario purchased that company and replaced the amazing wood the rubber sat on with this compressed cardboard and wood fiber material. Now it can't even get shipped to you without being destroyed during transit. In addition to that, water could ruin it with just a drop. The original real feel pad I bought when they came out when I was in middle school was been dropped, beat up, thrown around, used during 7 years of marching band, then DCI Drum corps, and done hundreds of gigs and the rubber has literally fallen off. Until it was stolen, I made use of that pad for close to 15 years. It is a shame that D'addario "evans" has at its disposal the most amazing products on every instrument, and they have however ruined this remarkable.
What I like most about the Evans 2 is its style This three-sided practice pad can be used on either side. In order to practice my drumming technique, I needed a good pad since I like to do it early in the morning while my neighbours have to wake up for work. It's been almost a week since I got it and I use it almost every day. It's a gorgeous pad from top to bottom It has sanded wood with smooth edges, good thickness and weight, and a high quality gum and recycled rubber backing. When I first opened it I thought it was a little heavy, but that turned out to be a blessing, because it will stay put with either side. Furthermore, the thickness allows it to be mounted on any surface you want (carpet, padded seat, lap) and it still provides the same rebound to your drum sticks that you expect without the pad sinking or giving way. On a foam piano bench, I usually set it up. As Evans refers to it, it really is a real feel. It is a very comfortable feeling to touch the drum sticks and the sound is right between what you would expect from toms and snares A better response can be found on the Recycled Rubber side. You can practice on both sides of the practice pad, and you won't disturb anyone regardless of the strength of the rubber side. Even though it is much harder, it is not louder than you would expect from looking at it, so you can use either side without causing a disturbance. This thing has been beaten quite a bit over the past week - sometimes abused out of frustration at myself - and has, as of now, not shown any marks of abuse. Pros The cons are There are not many gorgeous/stylish websites that I can find at the moment. The game is very heavy and extremely strong. It is quite a high quality game.
It is the first time I have not played my Roland VDrums kit in these two days. The game has been on my computer every single day since I bought it. 'RealFeel' is just so pleasant to play that I find myself unable to stop. Having a RealFeel at my home makes me feel great since I work from home (visualizations) and it leaves me some time to play drums. The RealFeel is quite quiet, and I use it a lot to play drums. I prefer the sound of this unit to the rubber pads on my TD11K because it is quieter. I really like the rebound of this - and the name suggests that. A great feeling can be found in The "Real" in the name is a claim I cannot attest to since I do not own an acoustic drum set (I have never played one either). This book is highly This piece of furniture weighs a lot and is quite We love you with all our hearts! The only reason I bought it afterwards was because of many recommendations, and it is undoubtedly a worthy purchase.
I bought this drum pad less than ten minutes out of the box, and it instantly became one of the best purchases I've As I have tried or experimented with different kinds of practice pads over the years, I have experienced many different types. The one you see here on Amazon was recently on my Amazon wish-list because I was looking for a new practice pad. There were two sides to this story, and I was intrigued I was intrigued by the "two feels" claim and decided to try it out after reading some reviews. Despite the short delivery time and the well-packaged order, it arrived in good condition. After taking it out, I immediately put it to use with my Tama Roadpro snare stand. As soon as I heard the first pitch, I was smitten. A very well made pad, it looks great and should hold up well over time. It is sturdy, light enough to sit on the table instead of my stand, and very well made.
The two sides are as follows There is a slightly textured surface on the grey or gum rubber side. The rubber side offers excellent rebound and very little noise. Compared to the black side, the black side is a bit firmer. There is no doubt that it is louder than the grey side and offers less rebound, as well. As a beginner, this side is good for practicing rudiments since the lack of rebound really forces one to concentrate. My recommendation is for drummers to use this practice pad. highly recommend this pad to anyone looking for a quiet way to practice and to those who are just starting out.
One of my daughters is an excellent drummer and she teaches at the studio where her teacher works. In addition to this practice pad, she lost her other one so we bought her this one to replace it.
In an effort to let my husband finally have the drum kit of his dreams after 7 years without one, we splurged on one. The man plays almost every single day before he goes to work and all the time on Only thing that's stopping him from playing is that he works the night shift, so he can't play at home. He started talking about practice pads a week after we got his drum kit. As a wife who knows drumming and is his best friend, I quickly did some research and found this practice pad after I found out it was his birthday in two weeks. The only way I could return it if I did not like the product was by ordering it off Amazon. I had no idea if the product was good or whether he would like it. His favorite part is that he loves it. My official opinion is that I In the past, I thought his constant finger tapping on everything was annoying, but now I have a practice pad and sticks in my bedroom that I constantly have to listen to.
Anyways, there is absolutely no noise level that is bad at all, and only my pregnant and sensitive ear can hear it. My seasoned drummer husband would agree. He said it is the exact one he was looking at before I bought it for him.
