This single sided pad fits the bill for what I was looking for, a light weight, single sided pad that I can take with me anywhere. Thanks to EMCPaproductions on YouTube, I discovered it. It was obvious from the moment I took this pad out of the well-packed box that this would be a good device. It's very sturdy without being overly heavy like I experienced with my invader 3. It's a great feeling to have this pad in your hands! Rebound feels bouncy and bounces back when hit, and it sounds great no matter how dynamic it is. A pad that was quiet and felt great was hard to find, and this pad was the best of the best. Regardless of their level of experience, this pad is a top recommendation for anyone who plays percussion, be they beginners or advanced players. It is the best bang for your buck pad in my opinion, and I'm sure it will grow the percussion community even further. Percussion is great, thanks PERCA!.
It has a best price and is an excellent product. The quality of the pads was amazing, given that the price is comparable to practice pads that are far less durable and of less quality. This one works so much better than the one I purchased a month ago while i was unsatisfied with the previous one.
I think these pads are excellently made. It reacts to your stick strikes the same way as a snare would. This is what I gave to my girl friends grandson, who then learned a few basic strokes. I was very satisfied with the pad. In short, the practice pad I'm writing about is highly recommended.
The Perca Drum Pad is what I use when I'm on the go and practicing djembe. I sit the pad on my knees closely simulating the normal drum position between my knees as the 12" diameter is similar in size to my djembe drum. The maple core allows the pad to be sat on my knees and it closely resembles my drum. I also like how easy it is on my hands to use the silicon pad.
There is no doubt that this item will last for a very long time. As for the looks, I like them as well. However, I have yet to experience the feel of the device. Whenever I hit the plastic or hard part (thin layer of padding), I feel like I'm hitting it too hard. Although I still give it 5 stars for the price, I am happily satisfied with my purchase.
It is one of the best bargains you will find. This pad is light and small enough to fit in a pocket or purse, making it the perfect travel companion. There's a good feel to it, and that's what matters most. I am curious to see how it holds up over time and with.
What a great idea! Drum pad that mimics the real thing while still being easy to practice with. As advertised, it is exactly 12" diameter as it is described, as opposed to the other brand I purchased earlier which was only 10 and a half inches in diameter when it said 12".
It has an excellent build and heavy duty construction. I had hoped for the same thing as my buddy got one from another brand that had a screw on the bottom to attach to a drum stand, but instead got a double sided pad instead. It is perfect for on the lap or when practicing at a table. All in all, it has been a pleasure to use.
