Personally, I own a pad that has a snare mechanism. When practicing, you want something that is articulate so that you can work on playing even and other aspects, a snare mechanism blurs that because you cannot hear each stroke as clearly.
It is possible to buy a black v3 from a local store and there's a small difference between them, which is that the black v3 has an oily head whereas the red v3

There are no words to describe how much I enjoy It is neither a regret nor does not getting zymox make me regret it one bit. I love how sleek it looks and how it feels. It is true that the cleaning and polishing process is a bit time-consuming, but the results are well worth the effort. I like this pad a lot for the price I paid for it.
A realistic feel and rebound, a sturdy rim, and a realistic feel and rebound make this rim great for practicing rimshots and helping prevent "pad hands. " The pad is louder than a rubber pad, but I was expecting this going in, so it does not bother me. It's fine with me if the sound is louder. I get a lot out of practicing on it. Having said that, if all you want is a quiet practice pad, then you may want to keep an eye out for these What we have here isn't what you think. Buying this makes you feel like you're playing marching snares in the most realistic way possible.
I feel like it has the most realistic feel compared to an actual marching snare. An actual rim to practice shots and the right amount of rebound. A 14" drum looks great on top of it. There's a different tone when playing on the edge than when playing in the center. It's heavy and sticky on the bottom, so it stays in place no matter where you play. There must not be any cracks in the rim, because the pad feels thick and durable. The price is a bit high and the pads are slightly louder than others, but they would be worth the investment You must clean and wax the surface to keep it looking good for a long time.
With this practice pad, I use everything from rudiments to licks, and I must admit, I love it so much. Playing with it is much more enjoyable due to how realistic the rebound is, and you can tweak your chops with the articulation feature. This rim is a bit on the thick side, but it makes it very easy for you to play at a correct.
There is an extremely professional feel and sound to the music. I would like to see a slightly smaller version of this, but the weight is worth it, because it is very very heavy. In addition to the top and bottom, there is also dark matter on the underside, which can be somewhat annoying, which I rarely use, since it sticks to things and is the same as the top. In general, it's the best pad on the market.
I have been pleased with it. It is much better than Xymox for my 16 year old percussionist and marching snare drummer.
The second year of my son's high school career in drumming (tenors/snare) has been really fun for him. There is more quietness in this pad than others we have, and he finds it much better in terms of response than the traditional style pad. This mat (rubber mounted on wood) is heavy and one of the best on the market. Make sure you follow the instructions on how to clean and maintain the surface to maintain its pristine appearance. In addition to physical practice, he likes to practice marching music on the rim. It is much more expensive to buy the custom brand out there that offers the "realistic snare sound", but this one has the same responsiveness and feel.
However, it acts like a magnet for dust. It is made from quality materials and is sturdy. However, its shiny surface attracts a lot of dust and the resulting marking is much more noticeable. Rather than waiting for the outlander to arrive, I suggest you buy it now. I like the premise of the pad, the feel, the look, but the sound is better in my opinion. The pad can help you build chops without your hands getting in the way! Definitely worth a try if you prefer a sturdy pad!.
