Questions & Answers

Is the snare stand tall enough to allow the player to play while standing with the practice pad?

If the individual is tall, this is not the case. To play standing, I have to bend over because I'm 6'2". If you're under 6 feet tall, you might be able to get away with it. Obviously, the shorter the person, the more comfortable it will be to play standing. The set, on the other hand, is one of my favorites. The stand is well-made, and the pad has a good bounce.

Do all of the items come in one package or are they packaged separately?

It was all packaged together in a single box.

What is the purpose of the clear plastic, self-adhesive labels? What are the purposes of stick pads?

These are gel pads that can be used on a real drum kit. To reduce resonance, you place on the edge of the snare drum, bass drum, toms, or cymbals. You can learn more about drum gel pads by watching a video on YouTube.

Is there enough room in the bag for a regular snare drum?

No, it's really only what's in it. The pad case has Velcro closures and is tightly fitted. Congratulations on your large pouch, Ed. I can fit my notebook and a few mallets and sticks in the large pouch with the stand legs, but I mostly use the pouch for extra headphones and mallets, and I leave the stand at home. I like the stand, but it's not as adjustable as I'd like. It's a real pain to deal with the knob. However, if you aren't overly tall and won't be moving it frequently, it is strong and adequate. The sticks are also ineffective. br>br> I was told to buy good sticks after the third lesson. When they arrived, my progress accelerated dramatically. br>br>The pad is only useful for the first few months of practice, and I never used it after that. I needed to go to the studio to use a snare drum. There's a kit over there. I know it's louder, but you need the snappy rebound to do any real rudiment practice (just like you need enough air in a basketball to practice dribbling). Consider doing some basketball drills with a bowling ball. br>br>If you absolutely must have a practice pad, get a good one that will last a long time. Build your own custom kit and put it in a backpack with flaps that you like. pockets. You won't be able to bring a snare drum with you. If you have to transport a lot of gear, even a practice snare, it usually comes with its own protective bag. br>br>Get some headphones for protection and to listen to music while you practice. When it comes to life, jamming makes the tedious practice worthwhile.br>br>So, ask a teacher for recommendations, and then spend your money on good, useful items. It ended up costing me more money to have to do this twice, so if you're doing it for Christmas, get some practice tips for sticks as well. They smush on easily, are inexpensive, and can be worn on any surface. And at such a low cost!

I bought it on the spur of the moment
5/5

I'm not a drummer, but I enjoy listening to music. I play a little piano and am learning to play the guitar, so I thought I'd give drums a shot. This small item appears to sate my desire to learn and satisfy my curiosity. It's not like slapping your leg to the beat of a song or waving a pencil. You've got real drumsticks to play with, a standard pad to beat on, and a sturdy stand to keep everything in place- I'm suddenly watching beginner drumming videos on YouTube! It appears to be dependable, and it should last a long time. It also provides an opportunity to learn an instrument without having to invest in a costly kit. If you're serious about learning how to play drums, this could be the way to go. In terms of this specific item, I'd buy it again. to the beat of the drums!.

Great practice pad that is well-made and comes with a lot of extras! I needed a practice pad because I've only recently started playing the drums (and live in a condo where a drumkit or any musical instruments are prohibited)
5/5

br>This one from Donner was a fantastic buy, as it includes:
- It's well-made; I was pleasantly surprised by how simple it was to assemble and adjust the stand, and the three rubber feet provide a secure grip on the floor. br>- the well- built bag is lightweight, durable, and convenient to transport to my drum lessons. It's worth noting that it has an internal division, making it simple to store the stand, drumsticks, and other accessories. br>- When you hit the rubber plate on top, it gives you a good feeling, which is very important (otherwise, I'd be using my desk: ))
- the three sets of 5A drumsticks (yes, THREE! ), They're light and well-made, which was a pleasant surprise. The fact that they come in a velvet bag adds a nice finishing touch. br>br>The only suggestion I would make to Donner is to switch out one of the 5A pairs for a 5B pair to give students more options. br>This purchase has made me extremely happy - Other practice pads I tried at my drumming school just didn't compare to this one from Donner - Some are flimsy, while others give off an odd sensation when struck.

Unsure
3/5

However, I do not believe it is appropriate for total beginners. I may have made a mistake because I purchased this kit as a complete beginner with no prior knowledge of drums; all I knew was that I had always been interested in drumming, had read some information, and thought this would be a good place to start. I believe I made the wrong choice. The equipment backpack is fantastic, and the parts appear to be well-made. put together There were, however, no instructions on how to even put it together. I had to turn to YouTube for assistance, and I'm still not sure I got it right. br>br>It appears to be a cool kit if you have some experience with drumming, but if you have no experience with drumming, it might be a good idea to take a class or get some guidance first. That is, at least, my strategy. I don't think this is appropriate for a naive newcomer like me.

It's quite good
3/5

For beginners, this is an excellent product. It's pretty tough and well-made. Overall, the structure is sound. I was a little confused on how to assemble the product because there were no instructions in the box, and it is a little wobbly after I put it together (possibly because I tried to set it too high up). The only disadvantage I can think of is that the stand is a little short; even when fully extended, it isn't very high for practicing standing up. When sitting in a shorter chair, this is a better option for practicing.

The pad is excellent with the backpack, but the stand and sticks are inexpensive
3/5

Because I knew I'd be getting a drum rack for Christmas, I ordered this Donner drum practice pad with stand to double as a drum rack. First as a practice pad, then with my new drum rack on the stand. Because of the nice back pack it comes in and the well-made practice pad, I gave it three stars. The snare stand and free drum sticks are made of very low-quality materials. To my surprise, the person who gave me the drum rack also included a no-leg snare stand, so I now only practice with the Donner Drum Practice Pad with Stand.

This is such an amazing and easily transportable practice drum set, and it's a great place to start for school band practice
5/5

My grandson has recently started school band/music, and everything fits neatly and easily into the carrying bag. It has back-pack-style shoulder straps that make it easy for him to carry to class, as well as a luggage-style handle on top to help him get it in and out of the car. It's a little heavy, but that's because it's made of high-quality materials. Definitely a good purchase, and exactly what his teacher recommended.

Great Products at an Affordable Price! My son's rudiments are at the perfect height! In addition, when he wants to sit and play, the pad fits perfectly on top of an actual snare drum
5/5

The bag is large enough to hold everything and appears to be well-made. The sticks are well-balanced and ideal for newcomers. If you're looking for a quiet, easy-to-train alternative, this is it!.

Sticks will be required
4/5

Pad: decent. The wood it's on is thin and not particularly dense, and there was obvious glue runoff from when the pad was glued to it. However, it is still serviceable. br>br>Stand: good There are no issues with it. Carrying bag: br>br> good. There are no issues with it. br>br>3 pairs of sticks: useless. Get rid of them.
