Great tool, promotes relaxation in the next step. This product has been the poster child for NAMM for several years. You can see him blast, with this tiny pad, on YouTube. I forgot his name, but he appears to be very talented.

Now that I see why he said this pad promotes relaxation, I understand. Then you'll never have to look down again, even if you're concerned about where the pad hits your hand, as you most likely will be, given that you're looking at this product In the event you are not dead center, you will miss the pad. Thus, you will just sit a little with a smile on your face and focus on looking straight ahead, not up and down or left and right. It's hard. A humbling experience.

I would say that it's hard.

Using this thing forces you to be more controlled in your mechanics. can also be used to reveal how your left and right hands are moving differently, which reveals your differences in grip. The resulting effects will be felt in your beats and fills simply by playing slow singlesnon. This pad is excellent for working on accuracy and technique! Having seen it demonstrated at NAMM last year, I finally had the opportunity to purchase it for my teaching studio and it is awesome! It is something I enjoy doing as well as teaching it! This kind of exercise requires you to fine-tune your grip and focus on accuracy as well as to relax
