Because I haven't had the Vic Firth drum pad, I am unable to make a comparison. This drum pad, however, is excellent.

I'm in love with This device goes everywhere with me, and I always have it on I can carry it in my backpack without having to worry about space limitations. I'm very good with a You know there is always a beat in your head when you play. Drummers of any level wanting to advance their bpm and improve their rolls will benefit from this workshop. The quality is very good and the price is very reasonable

It is a good drum pad both for beginners and for advanced players. Obviously the blue side is a very, very hard rubber and the black side is similar, except for the fact that the black side bounces better and feels more equal to a This pad is fairly silent for the type of bounces I am getting, and it is a pretty large one. In addition, it is quite heavy but you can maintain good quality if you take steps to maintain You can compare the drumstick size to that of the practice pad by comparing them to the 5A drumsticks.

There is actually quite a bit of quiet on the quiet side! The practice I do with my housemate does not bother her. This pad is great! I am very satisfied with it.
