On my 1st gen Hex rack, it works flawlessly.
I wouldn't recommend it unless your cymbals are mounted very low (i.e., flush with the top of your rack). I wouldn't recommend this for cymbals, but it's fine for toms or hi hats (if mounted on a side arm).
Similar to a cowbell holder, the clamp can rotate on the drum stand and the rod can rotate within the clamp.

This is a great deal. The top connector's plastic/rubber material was a poor choice. I connected it to my microphone and had to adjust it to get the mic to point in the right direction, but the plastic / rubber material ripped in half when I tried to loosen it (before I could use it). br>br>Do not make a purchase. Reviews that claim this is "sturdy" make me very suspicious.
They were a big hit with my father!.
To make it easier to mic my floor tom, I mounted it on my Gibraltar rack. The mic is placed exactly where it needs to be thanks to the rack arm and the adjustability provided by this shock mount. I couldn't be more pleased. Next, I'll purchase another to use as a personal hotspot monitor.
This, like all of the Gibraltar hardware I've used, is fantastic. Excellent design, well-made, and appears to last well beyond my lifetime; my highest recommendation for drum hardware.
simple to use and place.
Will not be able to support a significant amount of weight.
The SC- The GRMM Rack Microphone Shock Mount allows me to mic myself with the appropriate microphone so that I can move around freely while playing the drums at maximum volume. The drums don't leak into the vocal section of the set. However, I was surprised by the size of the box it arrived in, as well as the amount of brown paper wrapped around it, because there was enough room in that container to fit 10 to 12 shock mounts. I used to be perplexed as to why packaging was so important. Tom, a middle-sized man, was sent to Australia due to mishandling.
In any case, four microphones - 0 square feet of floor space taken =.
