How big are the wings? Can a 16 inch floor tom be fitted in them?
It appears this rack is similarly unreliable, as I have yet to find a tube drum rack that can support a 14" rack tom without the mount "rolling." I also looked at the Ludwig maple rack, which I had previously found to be outstanding. mind that my tom is six-ply and has a bit of weight to it (it's a 14" x 14" ). In some cases, the memory locks may need to be tightened up until they damage the tube because of the weight of the drum. I hope this helps in describing the rack. It is sturdy, however, and performs well with average drums, including Ludwig's, but most tube style racks I've used struggle with heavier drums. Thanks for reading! Drum on, and cheers!
In fact, yes. My understanding of your position is that I completely sympathize with you. Perhaps you will need to get a second person to help to make this work, but nothing should be too difficult. The clamps may not be able to straighten the legs without a level, but you'll need one to set them level. Due to its curved legs, it appears to lean a little from time to time.

This was one of the early Father's Day gifts that I received. You have my full attention. Since I play only for fun and not as a profession, I have never used a rack before. ) that I could obtain all of the toms in exactly the right angles and positions. In addition to its versatility, the rack comes with a variety of clamps that work well with my hodgepodge of devices The hardware is a hodge podge of different By making the vertical leg double as a cymbal stand, you eliminate two, and since it comes with different-sized collars for different thicknesses of stand or boom, it is compatible with any size of cymbal. It can be held firmly with the arm of the stand. Any tom mount arm or cymbal stand can be held at any height or angle by the large clamps on either end of the horizontal bars. There are extra hooks on the rack to mount even more equipment. The rack is extremely stable, and the two curved "wings" wrap around the drum set. I find the whole thing to be really professional, even making my 'off' day look fantastic The drums look classy since they are made by Mutt. If you are having trouble adjusting until everything is the way you want it, be prepared to spend a couple of hours experimenting. Memory locks and clamps, on the other hand, mean that future tears will be inevitable Then set it down and set it up This method will make it much easier to consistently set it up so that everything is just the way you want it.
The legs of the subject look rounded in the one picture, but the rest of the body appears straight. As a result, it took me a while to set it up as I like it, but after I figured out there was an angle adjustment where the feet connect, I was able to get it just the way I wanted it. I use this on my email account as well An online toolkit. My rack is equipped with both Roland and Yamaha hardware clamps, which are both working well.
As a whole, this has been a fantastic Consequently, I had to extend and strengthen the mounting wings and legs as I am mounting 6 drums to the rack. However, in general, it wasn't easy to set up, but once you know the design and layout you want, it's less intimidating. On the center bar, 3 toms are mounted, 2 floor toms are mounted on one side bar, and the snare drum is mounted on the DO NOT overtighten the clamps, as they will break the pipes as a result. I could not give it five stars across the board due to the only reason.
There are some interesting geometric interdependencies on the angles of the legs, feet, and horizontal members created by the curved legs on this product. Keeping the legs and feet mostly under the floor unit rather than out front does minimize the amount of floor space required, but it requires a little more effort to get it right. A cymbal/boom stand can only be inserted so far because of the curvature of the uprights.
There was still no movement of the rack, everything was It was a great rack and I wish I didn't have to sell it at the time. Whenever I get a new kit, I'll get a Gibraltar rack to keep it all In spite of a pretty long wait, I have played well over a hundred rounds on this rack. The camera has been used on many shows and I have never had a complaint As a side note, this rack certainly saves me time when setting up This rack makes it easy for me to set up my whole kit in under 10 minutes because I load and unload it this way. As soon as I have the rack tom loaded into the trailer, I will remove all the cymbals and get a friend to help me load all of it onto the trailer. (YES, EVEN MY SUPER HEAVY DW9000 HI HAT STAND STAYS The other time-saving thing I do is to put all the cymbals together before we move it on stage. This way, all I have to do before I start playing is set up my floor tom, pedals, snare, and As part of my method, I use a drum rug and place tape markers where everything sits to accelerate the process. What I like most about this rack is that you play everything the exact same way every time, no matter how far we have to drive or how badly it gets damaged in the trailer. During a show, my bandmates and I could literally stand on this thing without moving. You should check it out. It is not too late to get this rack if you are still unsure about it. Adding some better pictures to this review shows how good this rack looks. It is the best tool any musician could ever want. I posted pictures a year ago shortly after setting it up for the first time. You should keep in mind that some of them were taken months or weeks apart. Whenever I use this rack, everything is at the same angle, located in the same place. If I had the choice, I would give this rack 100 stars. I got this rack from an old review and it has helped me expedite my work. The design is absolutely gorgeous as well! The clamps and memory locks it comes with are more than enough for my setup. A very sturdy rack, and it's very easy to put together. The number of people who ask about my rack ranges from 10 to 20 every time I play a show. Very good product! Highly recommended!.
The rack-to-toe design at Gibraltar is good overall, although the amount of torque required to secure it does leave pinch marks in the tubing, and it will look less pristine than it should be especially if it must be taken down repeatedly.
Originally, the order was supposed to come with (2) two boom arms for cymbals. The boom arms of the cymbals are missing. Customer service at Amazon confirmed the item should have made the list.
Again, no cymbal boom arm was included with the replacement stand. It was impossible to find instructions on either box. In the 3rd and final attempt, boom arms and instructions arrived.
A solid, stable, and clean appearance. There was an issue with shipping, which is the only reason for the 4 stars.
(1) I've owned many different styles and brands of drum racks over the course of my 50-year playing career. In my opinion, Gibraltar is the best! They have chrome hardware, or clamps that are just as good, if not better, than the originals. The chrome one is awesome! (2) I love this all chrome one! Taking it on will push you to the next level! In comparison, it is far superior to the black and chrome version.
