Firstly, I want to say thanks to you. There is nothing I like more than Gibraltar. It has been my pleasure to use their products for over twenty years. I am also not making fun of the merchant in any way. The diameter of this particular boom arm is much smaller than standard boom arms, so it's a shame that I bought it. As well as being a bit light, it's also a bit sassy. My hide-away boom, which I can't stand because it limits adjustment, needed to be replaced by a ratcheting boom. In short, my recommendation is to spend a couple extra bucks for a better, more standard.
In accordance with the advertisement. I don't have any complaints, although I object to the excessive amount of.
In fairness, I should have measured the width of my stand before I replaced the broken boom arm, but my stand does not have a "standard" boom width. For Yamaha, Pearl, or Tama mounting/standing systems, it is too narrow.
Gibraltar makes a great cymbal holder. I bought it because it is sturdy and good quality. There is a "but" however, since it's more of a light cymbal holder since if you set the boom about half way then you get a lot of vibration, so I wouldn't use this for heavy cymbals. These holders are particularly good because their fasteners, unlike those from cheaper brands, remain firmly in place. Two of them I bought, and I took them off of my set for now, but I'll use one of them for like a splash cymbal.
The rack is connected to it so that I am able to crash into it. The stuff is of great quality.
Boom arm is very solid.
A great product with great quality.
