As soon as I mounted the Aquarian head on and tuned it up, I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the sound and the pitch and sustain they As a result, after that I have been using Remo heads all the time on all of my snares, but for playing power metal, classic rock, or anything in between on any of my toms, I will be using Aquarian heads from here I know as a working drummer for many many years that you need to change your drum heads out frequently, but as a drummer who has played a 10 piece kit for many many years, I also realize that it can become very costly very quickly to change so many heads out at one time. In order to shed some light on this topic, I would like to tell you that watching my experience with drum heads over the years, I know that Aquarian heads will last for a long time and are very cost effective for any working musician. I would like to see metal people /m/.

In order to get deep/damped sound, I went from Remo Pinstripe (for dampening ring), to Evans 360 (for attack) and then to Aquarian PF series. Playing classic country and old rock and roll is most suitable for the Aquarian. I have stopped using gig bags, so there is no need for gels or damping rings that get crushed or fall off in transit (as I no longer use them). While maintaining my volume at a low level, I wanted to get deep drum sounds but do so without a loud sound. It is always a pleasure doing business with them.
I love the heads, and they are a great match for my Aquarian Focus X.

If you want to produce low sounds from your toms, these Aquarian PF heads will make a good choice. The head from this set may not be a good option for your 10" tom if, like me, you prefer a throaty crack out of the small diameter toms. However, because this drum sounded nice and low, I dropped my 12" rack tom in favor of this one in order to blend well with my 14" floor tom.
The mapex pro m series with maple shells I use now belongs to me. As you know, I've always jumped from Evans clear 2ply heads to Remo clear pinstripe 2ply heads to Evans coated (white) 2ply heads over the years. I always fell in love with the heads that were built with the dampening ring whenever I saw a DW or Pacific kit in a music store. I consider myself rather good at tuning kits, and I was never able to get the right tone with all the other heads I had. It seems like I came across these aquarian heads. Sure, you could just buy the DW models, but they are overpriced because they claim to be DW. I added a 10,12, and 14" head to my toms and they sounded great! So now I'm in a band and I'm a percussionist, so I let the drummer use my kit since his is noticeably better than mine. You just have to keep tuning your gigs if you want them to sound great.
Remo Pinstripe clear is also similar in tone. This is a good choice for those who prefer a quieter sound. Pinstripe Clear has a similar tone to Remo Pinstripe, but with a lesser ring and sustain. It could also be used as a studio tool.
